Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Location is great and the rooms are lovely and comfortable. Breakfast is a very generous buffet or very good made to order options.
Location was incredibly gorgeous and convenient. Staff was so helpful. Pricy, but exactly location exactly where we wanted.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The history of the property was really cool. I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast staff and the area they put you when you have the breakfast package. They stick you in the back area when they have this beautiful restaurant that you have to go through to get to this breakfast area. It took the wind out of our sales. The service was terrible. That said they really tried and successes to make it right for us for the remainder of our stay. The room service people were so good.
The Caledonian is an absolutely fantastic place to stay! Centrally located near the castle and the Royal Mile. It is a great place to lay your head at night, wake up in the morning, enjoy a nice Scottish breakfast, then get out and explore the city of Edinburgh.
Joseph at the front desk, did an outstanding job and made sure that my stay was worry free! The entire Bell Staff was fantastic and they have a wit and sense of humor that is unparalleled!
I highly recommend the Caledonian to all when traveling to Edinburgh!
The hotel is a beautiful old property that is worth the stay. I utilized the spa and it was a nice experience though pricy. The property is located in the West End and while the area is walkable and has restaurants, it is a bit of a walk to Old Town. Uber and taxies are readily available.
The hotel staff are attentive and the property is well located to walk most places in Edinburgh. Breakfast was great as well. Would recommend this property.
