"The view of the English Channel from the room is gorgeous! Absolutely stunning locale. Easily walkable to so many things in Eastbourne. Room service was fast and delicious. Restaurant food good. I wish I could have stayed here more than one night. Will try to return!"
"Only one lift working and it broke down we had to walk up to the 4th floor not good for two people in their late 70's, food was good ,staff pleasant, could be good if they ever get both lifts working ,could do with a good refurbishment, but we enjoyed Eastbourne, so many places to choose to eat in"
"Nice property. They advertised beach front but the room had terrible views. But no complains for a nights stay. Staff was exceptional. Great service Especially the restaurant staff. Was late for dinner and although they closed the manager lady kept the place open for us to order and eat. Was impressed by that service. True hospitality."
"I stayed 2 nights at the Devonshire Hotel. Staff very polite and helpful. My room was very clean and large. Bed was comfortable. In all a very pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel."
"Entrance hall was welcoming but stair carpet to upper floors needs cleaning. Room was large and bright. Voile curtain had a large rip in it, door was difficult to lock with the key when leaving the room for the day. A comfortable chair instead of the chaise lounge would have been more comfortable. Shower was large and worked well, care needed on wet floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful."
"Great location on the seafront - pack your swimmers for a quick dip. The rooms are clean, comfy and well appointed. Excellent shower in the room we had.
The fresh milk on check in is a great touch.
The team on check in and check out were very helpful and polite"
"Lovely hotel in a great location. Everything thoughtfully and tastefully arranged. Chris and Caroline very helpful. Looking forward to a return stay. Thank you."
