"Our recent stay at Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, was absolutely beautiful. The resort is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the airport. We booked round-trip transportation in advance, and the service was smooth and reliable. The resort itself is breathtaking. The grounds are immaculately kept—huge kudos to the landscaping and maintenance crew. The food and drinks were fantastic! We especially loved the different outdoor food stations scattered throughout the property—ice cream, smoothies, and grilling stations made it fun and super convenient for guests to grab a bite while enjoying the resort. Room cleanliness was just okay. While the basics were covered, the curtains definitely need some attention—they should be washed or treated. That would make a big difference. As for the staff, not everyone was friendly, but there were a few who went out of their way to smile and greet us. The entertainment team, on the other hand, was amazing—especially Crazy Legs! His energy and vibe made the experience extra fun. On our final evening, we had a romantic dinner on the beach, and it was truly special. Holly made the evening unforgettable—she even came to our room to personally escort my husband and me to our beautifully set table on the beach. Overall, the resort has so much to offer and left us with some beautiful memories. With a few small improvements, it could be a perfect getaway spot! "

"This was a fabulous resort. The food was great. The beaches and pools are clean. There is great entertainment. Highly recommend. Traveled with teenage and it was perfect and safe for them to be on their own. "

"The property is very visually appealing and clean. Even though JOIA itself was somewhat small “small” having access to the other two adjoining properties made up for that. Of the three, JOIA to us had the nicest beach as even though small it had way less of the plagued seaweed that is sweeping across the Caribbean. Staff were courteous and helpful. The Iberostar app needs a little work but overall it added a layer of convenience and organization to our stay. Events were listed clearly on app and throughout the properties. Last point is on the food. Overall, to us nothing was mind blowingly delicious but most everything was decent. Buffets had good selections and offered some traditional foods to Jamaica as well. Definitely would visit again sometime."

"Love this property. I’ve been a few times and I’ll go back. The food has gotten better, Jamaican night was awesome. The staff was ok. My cousin requested more coffee because the coffee was cold and a waitress refused to serve her more coffee and told her that they were all out of coffee. She asked another waitress and got more coffee "

"We just love this hotel and it was totally worth getting the Butler service. Totally totally worth it. We absolutely loved our Butler. WILLARD and FITZGERALD!! I have never dealt with such an amazing and caring team. Lady at the checkout desk was amazing TISHANA and Wayne the server at the Cabana . This hotel is just the right size. I love it so so much. I would only ask for better air-conditioning in the main Diamond facilities and in the main checkout area but other than that, it’s an amazing hotel with incredible beaches."
