The hotel is not as good as website and photos seen. The location is good, and close to the metro station, but not ideal. It is next to Shanghai Police headquarters, you basically live next to the apartments housing the police staffers and retirees.. My real problems are its bathroom design are very poor, I don’t have space to put my clothes while I shower, and no space for dry the body after shower—we have to leave the hotel room if one is taking shower. I don’t know how this important feature is ignored for years without any resolution. Also no ventilation for bathroom a feature is required for every bathroom. The room has only one chair. Frankly I don’t understand why this hotel is so popular among the German tourists. I would not go back to this place on my next trip. There are more choices for this price range in Shanghai region

"Hotel is fine, room had a wonderful view, location was very convenient as well. The hotel rooms are old. Which might look like the marble in the bathroom is kind of moldy, worn off. Rooms are small too, not a convenient layout. Other than that the stay was great. Staff is exceptional."
