"We recently stayed at this historic inn during an impromptu anniversary date and it was nothing short of magical. When we travel we love to find historic inns and this may be the most lovingly maintained in its original glory — every detail felt like a beautiful step back in time. The location is unbeatable and we opted to stay at the inn rather than explore the area for that day and evening. You walk out the door to Taughanock Falls and the lake across the road. The natural beauty surrounding the property is breathtaking. The outdoor dining and firepit seating areas overlook the lake and kept us there for both dinner and drinks after. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was warm and helpful. We are hoping to make this a yearly tradition and can’t wait to return and maybe even stay in one of the top floor rooms being renovated! There’s no doubt they will be spectacular. "

"We stay here overnight on our way to North Carolina Beaches. The staff is always accomodating and friendly.The rooms are well cleaned, and the beds are comfy. Breakfast is so-so, but there are other nearby options if that is important to you. There is a trolley ride around town, which the kids love. Historic downtown is within walking distance, with lots of restaurants and activities to do. "
