"Our family of 5 loved the location. We visited many of the nearby towns (loved Marken!) and Amsterdam of course. Convenient to walk to buses or uber around. Property is on the water with a lovely view. We naively kept all the windows open for the view and breeze so got a few spider/bug bites (lesson learned!), but otherwise we were happy. Recommend. "

"We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."
