"This property is amazing in every way. Staff were amazing and friendly. Rooms were perfect with an A/C unit that actually makes the room cold! Beds were comfortable and rooms beautifully decorated. Great views from your personal balcony too. The grounds are very well maintained, pool area is out of this world. The restaurant was wonderful and prices were really reasonable. I can recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely come back."

"The breakfast was good, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable—though the water pressure in the shower and bathroom was low. The pool was very dirty because people from outside—who are not staying at the hotel—come to use it, which creates an uncomfortable situation for the guests."

"We had an amazing experience taking the "Tren Maya" and staying at the "Mundo Maya Hotel, Calakmul". The train was comfortable and efficient, the staff was so kind and helpful. The transport from the train station to the hotel was also very good (at an additional cost). The hotel building is a little plain from the outside but the minute you step inside the open air lobby you feel the magic of the jungle. The tropical modern decor catches the cool breezes and comfortable seating abounds. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is attentive, knowledgable and personable. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and comfortable.The menu had a reasonable selection and the food was surprisingly good. There is room for minor improvement. The English translation of the menu is full of errors.There should be proper pictures of the amenities (pool, shop, gym) in the elevator not little cards taped below the buttons. The hotel shop had a poor selection of merchandise which was badly displayed. TheTV should have a channel dedicated to info about the property including room service options, tours and even info regarding other Mundo Maya properties. But....the beauty of the property and the warmth of the staff more than made up for any minor inconvenience."
