"Room was mostly clean but was a bigger bug of some sort in the bathroom"

"The lodging cottages were fantastic. However the management of the overall facility was seriously lacking continuity. At checking in we were informed of all eating facilities on site but not told that reservations were required to the restaurant and the main family friendly dining area (the Buffet ) was not open. When we inquired at the front desk about the buffet they had no idea that it was closed so also have to wonder if they knew that a reservation was required for the main restaurant. So showing up at 5:30 to eat and the buffet is closed and they had no more reservations available at the restaurant (you could come back at 7:30 and see if anything might be available-no wait list etc. just first come first serve) it made the eating choices quite slim. It actually overwhelmed the last eating place on premises to the point that the food and service were compromised. Not really any other choice but to tough it out -accept it-and make it work. We Just expected more from this top notch rated facility. The staff was courteous and professional just not informed about what was going on. They were overwhelmed and did the best they could. "

"Yes, if going to Death Valley National Park on paved roads you can go into the Park on paved roads through Beatty NV. Or If going into Death Valley in a 4 wheel drive vehicle, there are some unpaved roads close to this property that take you into the mountainous area avove the valleys. Or the Sand Dunes recreationl area, which is BLM lands within a few miles of the property. "

"The mountain view was beautiful and the back deck was awesome to relax and gaze at the stars. The entire place was immaculate and comfortable after a long day of hiking. The kitchen was fully equipped. The host was attentive to our needs especially presenting ideas for dinner. I would definitely come back!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this place. The rooms are super clean and quiet, the host Sunny is super friendly and helpful and making an unbelievable breakfast. Great location to all the areas that we want to see in Death Valley. We would strongly recommend the place to our friends! "
