"This was our 4th stay at the Daytona Hilton oceanfront. The previous stays were enjoyable with clean rooms and comfortable. This stay makes me want to try a different hotel next time. The room they gave us was a handicap accessible room with a thermostat mounted 3 feet from the floor and a shower head that was 5 feet at its highest setting. All of which would have been fine had we requested such a room. When we arrived we found the cloth chair in the room had a brown stain that looked like someone $h!t on it and tried to wipe ot off. The chair to the desk had a large tear in the leather. The room was warm so we dropped the thermostat and left for dinner. After we arrived back to the room at 9 pm we found it was still hot and had to contact the front desk and asked for a room change. We were told maintenance would arrive soon to look at the AC. The man arrived at 9:45 pm and at 10 pm left after repairing the issue. It took almost another hour for the room to cool down. In the morning we found the tub drained slow and we stood in 6" of water by the time we were done. The sink was a slow small stream at best with both cold and hot water on. To top it all off we found that the main pool overlooking the ocean was closed due to a chlorine issue. Disappointing stay to say the least."

"We realized it was an old hotel..last time we stayed it was charming…this time not so much! Roof top bar was closed (did not state that on the website)…which we loved last time we were here! The elevator was working (thank goodness) but the date it was last inspected said 2023!! I think we were the only guest there and they put us on the 4th floor!! The staff wasn’t very amenable…it felt like we were bothering her while she was lounging on the couch watching TV…I asked if I could use the washroom in the lobby and when I got in there there was water dripping down from the ceiling & the floor was full of water…I told her so and all she said was ok thank you? I don’t like to give bad reviews however there is a reason the parking lot was empty! Too bad they ran this landmark to the ground!"
