"This is a top hotel to stay. We were in the luxury suite on the top floor, room 306 with a massive bathroom & gorgeous sea views.
We were v impressed with the concierge service as we booked parking at the premises. Our luggage was collected and dropped and the concierge moved the car for us. This was fantastic as the spaces are tight.
We were there for folk week and really enjoyed the vibes of the festival experienced right by the hotel. Breakfast was excellent too and served (not buffet). Thanks to the reception staff member- sorry I cant remember your name and the Nepalese lady who served us Breakfast. We will be back"
"Great place to stop off on way to Cornwall. Bed comfy, great bathroom. Pleased there was a fan as room was quite warm (couldn’t open windows). Meal in evening good and breakfast great. Staff helpful and friendly.
Some areas a little tired."
"The hotel had free parking and close to beach . Bar closed at 10.30 so no late drinks . Room was clean, had to ask for clean towels as stayed for 3 days and although room was checked daily only basics done bin emptied cups washed. Would have been nice to have had clean towels daily and shower cleaned. Breakfast was included good choice although fry up not that fresh it felt thou bacon had been kept warm maybe would be better if we had breakfasted earlier. The fresh choices better options as cooked to order . Recommend eggs Benedict was delicious. Plenty of pastries to choose from .They catered for GF very well . Pool a wonderful bonus available to book for private use of 45 minutes had jacuzzi and sauna plus small pool . Towels for pool available from reception remember to ask as they don’t offer. Staff all wonderful same staff doing numerous shifts they work hard made stay very enjoyable will recommend as good place to stay."
"Driving up to the hotel, it looked disappintingly like a low end budget hotel....i see now why the first image on expedia was of the attached Carriages Restaurant.
On this particular visit, the land close by was being developed... cant hear anything, but the view from the room looked out towards the construction site.
Carpet along the hallways was dated.
Room itself was good but more attention needs to be paid to dusting.. there were threads of spider web in the coffee cups.. Air conditioning worked nicely, beds were clean and comfortable. Room wasnt as spacious as id throught it might have been.
Bathroom was well presented...the tap did seem "blocked"... and indeed it was... after several wipes with tissue paper, wiping away gunk that had clogged it up, the tap was flowing nicely... toilet was low profile and clean. The experience with the taps did however make me feel uncomfortable using it.
At night, on a clear night, the car park made for an excellent star gazing site."
