"Sort of weird. The hotel is currently literally inside a construction zone - you have to drive down a rough dirt road to get there. The room is quite run-down (the construction is replacing the current structure). But everything - wifi, AC, plumbing - works. The free continental breakfast is a joke. However, it is on the water. The back door of the room opens right onto the bay. We saw manatees and a dolphin right there. The attached restaurant is just fine. "

"Great place to stay for the price. Location is close to town but definitely quiet and private. The fenced yard was smaller than expected but was great for our pets. We spent a wonderful month here and would definitely go back. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Turtle House. It was very well equipped and we enjoyed the outdoor space and use of the kayaks. The only recommendation I have for future guests is to bring bug spray. We were there at the end of March, early April and the backyard area could get buggy in the evening. Very peaceful on the canal and there is a fun outdoor restaurant you can kayak to in Kings Bay. The trek to Three Sisters Springs is doable in a kayak but a bit of a hike. We drove to Hunter Springs Beach to swim. It’s not too far—10 minute drive or so. Overall a good location and very nice property. "
