"It's a 14th century castle, so authentic, the service & the ambience were exceptional. David & Dean in reception were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. All the other staff were also outstanding & the food was delicious."
"We stayed for one night in a river view room and had a great experience. Very clean room and everything was in good order and worked as expected. Tasty breakfast with plenty of hot and cold self-service choice. Well located for Side and it's bars and resturants. Recommended."
"Room clean and good size with a lovely on-suite.
Breakfast good, plenty to suit all.
Staff were kind and helpful.
Big and plenty going on. Food good."
"Travelled as a family of 4 in 2 x twins which were clean and met all our needs. It's a grand hotel with lots of history. The staff from reception, breakfast, and cleaning staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We'll done, customer service at its best."
"The staff were excellent and very friendly. The rooms etc were very well maintained. The main lift was out of service meaning a long walk to an alternative, but this only mattered when carrying luggage. Breakfast was a standard buffet, little limited with its selection but more than adequate. My only major complaint was the room didn’t have any air conditioning or air circulation. It was incredibly hot and the windows only opened a few inches. They brought us fans but they simply couldn’t cool the room. I asked to be moved to a cooler room but they could only offer it for 2 nights out of our remaining 3. Which wasn’t worth the hassle of packing and unpacking."
