Search Covas hotels

The best area to stay in Covas is right along the beachfront, particularly near Praia de Covas.

This area is the heart of Covas, stretching along the beautiful sandy beach. You'll find a promenade superb for strolls, lined with various hotels, apartments, and restaurants. The main road, Avenida da Veiga, runs parallel to the beach, offering easy access to everything. It's a relaxed setting, superb for enjoying the coastal views and sea air.

Families often find this area ideal due to the direct access to the beach. Children can enjoy playing in the sand and shallow waters, while parents can relax nearby. Many accommodations here offer family-friendly amenities and are just a short walk from places to eat.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will also appreciate the beachfront area. The evening walks along the promenade, the sound of the waves, and the selection of seaside restaurants create a lovely setting for a quiet escape.

The best time to go to Covas is during the summer months, from June to September, when the weather is warm and sunny, great for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities.

During July and August, you'll experience the warmest temperatures and the least chance of rain. This is ideal for those who want to spend their days relaxing on Covas Beach, which is a long stretch of golden sand popular for swimming and sunbathing. The sea is also at its warmest during this period, making it pleasant for water sports.

For those who prefer slightly milder temperatures and fewer crowds, June and September are excellent choices. The weather is still very pleasant, with plenty of sunshine, but the peak tourist season has not fully started or is winding down. This period is great for couples looking for a more relaxed trip, perhaps enjoying coastal walks along the promenades or exploring the nearby town of Viveiro without the busiest crowds.
