"I’ve stayed at the State Plaza many times. The hotel is located in the Foggy Bottom area. A short walk to the monuments on the edge of GWU’s campus. The area is less crowded, convenient and safe feeling. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Everything is very clean, although I find the bathrooms may need a little touching up. Not a renovation, but just some aging that needs attention. The staff are always very nice and helpful. They have a paid underground secure self parking available. "
"Very comfortable and roomy accommodations. Perfect location convenient to GWU as we were dropping off child for college. Opted for nearby lot parking which saved some $. Inadvertently left laptop at hotel; called and mailed it promptly back to me. Would happily stay there again."
This Memorial houses a statue of the President who took a stand against slavery – and who had just started to heal the nation, when he was brutally assassinated.
