"Had an amazing time at Shelter Cove! The house is beautiful, and the surroundings are even more incredible.The hosts have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable, from all the amenities in the house to detailed instructions and great recommendations for activities in the area. We truly couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and beautiful place to stay.The drive from Redway down to Shelter Cove can feel a little intimidating the first time, but it gets much easier after that. Totally worth the drive once you stay here. Looking forward to visiting again !"

"I love it here! Nice and quiet with a convenient river access. Everyone that works there is so helpful and friendly. They have a pool and sauna as well! And their cute little convenient store is nice if you need ice or any last minute snacks. They even left us fire wood which was so nice. Definitely a nice place for a getaway! I’ll be visiting every year!"

"I go to Shelter Cove regularly and usually stay here. This time I had business in Garberville. It's a nice clean no frills place. It's in town right near shopping and restaurants. This time I decided to take the Bus, instead of driving. The stop is almost at the front door. No surprises. Nice comfortable stay."

"We love the stars at night with our view. We have stayed a couple times now and each room is unique. The beaches are nearby. I suggest bring your shade umbrella for the black sands beach. The Venezuelan food across from our room might have been good had anyone that worked there acknowledged us upon entering and waiting about five minutes. No biggie. We ended up with pizza. It’s okay! The bar chairs in the rooms need reupholstering. The lady at the desk is very sweet and very kind. Love the vibe."

"Friendly desk staff, and immaculately clean room. We stayed in the lodge/motel. It was so cozy and looked out on a beautiful redwood grove. The pub had great food and a kind staff as well. This was the first stop on our honeymoon and it was awesome!"

"This place is wonderful! Great central location to explore the redwoods. The house is so cool. We went with multiple families and there was room to spare in the loft for the 6 kids. The loft feels like a treehouse and is so fun. Lots of amenities on the premise with everything you need. The hot tube was wonderful after days of exploring. The outdoor fire is perfect for hanging out at night. Beds were comfortable. Showers and bathrooms were nice. Definitely recommend!"
