Bed and Breakfast in Colwyn Bay

"What a lovely Central Hotel facing the pier, the bed was so comfortable and everywhere was very clean. Coffee, tea, biscuits & chocolates in the room. The breakfast was amazing with good quality bacon & sausage. We was in the family room at the top of the hotel and the only downside was there's no lift but overhaul this hotel is fabulous. Staff are lovely and do a fantastic job. Thankyou"

"I loved staying at the merrydale. It was quiet and peaceful, very clean, comfortable bed and convenient to trains, shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was so delicious. They did a special vegan gluten free meal which i still am thinking about. I highly recommend it."

"One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in both in terms of the gorgeous building with lots of original features and the owners. The owner was really kind and helpful with knowledge on activities and restaurants in the area, the room was fabulous! "Can see why it's been so warmly reviewed in the past! A very comfortable stay and we were well looked after. The review format asked for echo-friendliness so had to mark down a little for the use of small plastic bottles in the bathroom and the individual packaged portions of butter, jam, sugar and salt at breakfast. It's a difficult balance between freshness and disposable containers. "

"We enjoyed our stay. The location is great. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. They gave us good advice on the surrounding trails. The room offered beautiful views, was clean and well maintained. The property had a wonderful garden where you can relax after a long day walking. There was a nice lounge area as well where you could watch TV, listen to music or grab a hot or cold drink; some snacks available to purchase. The breakfast was ok. "The house is warm and comfortable, perfect if the Welsh weather is not playing ball! The location is perfect - both in terms of the wonderful views but also for visiting the many local attractions. During our week’s stay in April we visited the Zipworlds at Betws-y-coed and Penrhyn Quarry as well as the steam train at Blaenau Ffestiniog and Conwy castle. All within 15-35 minutes drive. Even South Stack at the far end of Anglesey was only an hour away. Bodnant gardens National Trust is only 5...
