Come and enjoy this delightful cozy cottage,nestled in the Colorado Springs foothills.Perfect for hiking the local trails outside your door or to sight see! Far Cry is a 1935 newly renovated 1 bedroom cottage nestled in the foothills of Colorado Springs. It is conveniently located steps from Stratton Open Space with numerous trails for hiking and biking, minutes from Seven Falls, North Cheyenne Canon, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the famed 5 star Broadmoor Hotel. Create your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen or grill your favorite dinner on the deck overlooking the city. We supply a selection of coffee and teas for your enjoyment. Your dishes, flatware, and glasses are all provided.
Luxury bedding makes the cozy bedroom, with a queen size bed, a delightful escape.
Your bathroom will provide a tub/shower combo, heated tile floors, a washer/dryer combo and luxury amenities.
The living room is sunny and bright, with 7 large windows, mountain and city views,
A gas fireplace provides a delightful bit of evening heat. The living room opens on to a sunny deck for your morning coffee and a grill if you desire an evening meal at home.
TV and Free WiFi are available and if you listen carefully your may hear the quarter hour chimes and an occasional song from Will Rogers Shrine on Cheyenne Mountain.
There is the opportunity to view lots of wildlife - even an occasional bear!

This is a beautiful little house in a quiet neighborhood and managed by an incredibly nice lady. We have made visits here at least once a year for about ten years and it is a great choice every time.

Far Cry Cottage is clean, comfortable, quiet, charming and just about perfect. I found the cottage supplied with everything I needed. I was there alone and felt entirely safe. I hope to stay there again visiting family in the area.

Great Cottage

This was our second time staying at this cottage. Very clean, comfy bed, great location and neighborhood. Easy walk to hiking and close to lots of other hiking trails and things to do.

Beautiful, cozy Cottage.

This cottage was so very cozy and was the perfect location. We were just a few minutes from downtown, but still located outside the hustle of the city and could relax and enjoy the serenity of the views!!! Definitely will be booking this location again, when we come back to Colorado Springs!

The cottage was just as cute in person as it is in the pictures. It is close enough into town that itā€™s convenient but secluded enough to feel like you are far away from the city.

Perfect Getaway For Us

The 4 nights we stayed at the Far Cry Cottage were perfect for us. We loved breakfast on the back porch, the quiet neighborhood, and the private feel of the cottage. We enjoyed picking up early morning espressos at the nearby Caffeinated Cow, walks along nearby trails, and dinner at the Golden Bee and other restaurants in Colorado Springs and the area. Bet, the host, was wonderfully responsive to our questions and needs.

Perfect hidden treasure!

Absolutely beautiful location tucked behind in a quiet small neighborhood. Walking distance to a quaint family owned cafe which we adored! Neighbors were friendly and quiet. Everyone we made contact with was talkative and more than willing to offer recommendations! Will definitely stay here again!

A Perfect Stay

This was our third time at Far Cry Cottage and enjoyed it as much as ever. The location in the Canyon is wonderful and the cottage is decorated with charm and good taste. Bet went out of her way to make it easy for us when she found that we were arriving very late. I hope to be back next year.

Location was perfect for the activities I had planned and the cottage was just right in size and comfort. Lots of deer in the area and you can hear the chimes from the Shrine of the Sun. I'm sooooo glad I booked Far Cry rather than staying at a generic hotel!

Lovely Visit

This is really a great place! Very comfortable, private, great view, close to excellent hiking trails, and walking distance to The Broadmore Hotel; a lovely hangout for coffee in the morning to look at all its wonderful Western art collection. Perfect Getaway

I stayed at Bet's lovely cottage for a week while in the area for business. As many other reviewers have noted, it's a delightful home - filled with everything that you'd need for a comfortable stay. My absolute favorite part though was the lighting. The sun shines through both in the morning and in the afternoon, filling the living area with warmth. And the location of the cottage is wonderful, in a very quiet, secluded, and hilly area. Would highly recommend.
