Not what I booked

The apartment was fine, but it wasn't the one I booked in April for a stay in August. When I checked in the apartment was switched for a different one. The major complaint about the apartment was the A/C units were noisy. Loud popping in the middle of the night.

Perfect unit- not great communication

I received the checkin or checkout info in a very untimely and unprofessional manner. I arrived to the city before I had ever received any word. I had to reach out to the owner for check-in information and I didn’t get it for over an hour. So in the meantime, I called VRBO main office and then they canceled my reservation because they couldn’t get a hold of the owner either. This was a 10 at night and my check-in was supposed to be at four in the afternoon. I finally received the check-in info but only through a text message… She never use the Vrbo app to communicate with me. I also only got the minimum amount of information by text… I never received a professional list of check-in or checkout instructions. Upon checkout, I had already loaded my car and was leaving before she texted me that I was supposed to strip the beds and remove the trash from the unit. I didn’t even know where to dispose the trash because I never received any kind of formal instructions about the house… Nothing about the Wi-Fi, where things are located or any welcome information. I gave it three stars, however, because the unit itself was in pristine condition and very comfortable for our stay. But the first two hours of not being able to get into the unit and having to have a huge hassle with VRBO put a big damper on our first evening But the unit was a great value, location and safe neighborhood.
