"Great location, with loads of parking in the area and really close to the station (handy to get to Newcastle) and the seaside. The staff was helpful when we had an issue with the check in, and was always responsive to our requests. The room was alright, even though the bed wasn't exactly comfy, and the timed fan in the bathroom wasn't ideal at night. The best thing overall was the cafe, in which we went for all the three days. Hats off! The staff was amazing, and they could accommodate our gluten intolerance needs. Also, I am still thinking about that toffee cake."

"The property was pleasant and ideally situated near the cliff top and beach and within easy walking distance of shops, cafes, pubs and the station. The only adverse comment I would make is that both double beds were smaller than anticipated and one didn't have a mattress cover. Bed linen and towels were excellent."

"Room was exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed. One of the double glazed window units was blown and required replacing and the ensuite was a little tired and needed upgrading. Breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal. Staff needed chasing up not keeping up replacing side plates, and keeping coffee pots full. Staff were quick to apologise and bring out replacements. We will almost certainly visit again, despite getting a few things wrong the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were plenty of parking spaces."

"A spacious property for our family for our weekend stay. Several extras including a full fruit bowl, milk , wine and butter and beautiful cheese scones added to the experience. Wi-Fi and TV instructions were very clear and easy to use. A variety of excellent local shops and easy access to the beach nearby met the needs of all family members."
