"It was a beautiful setting it had fantastic potential but here’s a list of the faults. Self check in system (room door unlocked key in room) another guest had checked into room we had booked. The room had a different number on the door to what it was (there was a number one on the door frame number 2 on the door) We had booked a ensuite bathroom but on the first night only had access to a shared bathroom with no hot water, no toilet paper (had to search the house to find it), blocked sink. "Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. We will definately return to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, that is for sure! Derek Hanley, and family Dublin."

"I was initially given room 101. It had a terrible smell and the WiFi didn't work. The kind staff on the front desk moved me to another room on the same floor as reception. It was beautiful and the wifi worked. Very comfortable bed and the bathroom had a lovely shower. The breakfast was delicious. There was a good choice of fruits, cereals and cooked breakfast. The staff were very attentive. Although, I was in Mayo for business, I enjoyed visiting the spiritual sanctuary that is Knock. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the basilica. I found this to be a gorgeous place to walk in the early morning. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. It is the perfect base for any trip to Mayo"

Sent message to manager, no response until the next morning. Guest who was in our allocated room moved out the next morning, so we moved into our allocated room as the ensuite bathroom had hot water, it was dirty, we had to find fresh linen and clean up as best we could. No gas for cooking. Air fryer had wrong plug so couldn’t use. The property was quite difficult to find, no signs on the gate."
