"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. "This is such a lovely spot. It is perfect for traveling the west coast of Ireland. We wandered up and down the coast and came home every day to gorgeous surroundings and beautiful sunsets that we watched from the upper garden. We loved the beautiful old thatched roofed main house and the convenience of two full kitchens. The house is nestled among sheep and cow pastures across from the remains of an old tower. I wish I could include photos in my review! It couldn’t have been more picturesque....

"We absolutely loved Brownstone Lodge. Perfect location near Lough Carra in County Mayo. We were able to do some fishing when the weather allowed. The remoteness of the location was amazing, so quiet and so peaceful. And the lodge was well stocked, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the company of our caretakers and they made sure that we had everything that we needed. We had a lovely time and we cannot wait to come back!"
