There was no talk or sign of any kind of breakfast. They clean with vinegar which might be ok for some but not me. We had to leave the windows open and then the noise from the restaurants below was very loud well into the night. Also no shampoo or bar soap for a shower. There was no one who could speak any English. It says check in time is 12 but the unit was not ready and you have to pay the cleaning ladies 2 Euros per person in cash on check out. Don’t bother

This was a booking made through an agency that does NOT bother to convey all the useful information to the guest. We have guests do self check-in by providing them with an entry code, so all the useful information is sent via chat on Expedia.com (since we are NOT provided with ANY kind of personal contact from the guest).Due to the total negligence of the agency, the guest did not know that they could have breakfast at the bar near the B&B using a voucher, and this is also why they did not know that check-in is from 12:30 pm (and not from 12). We do not use vinegar for cleaning as was done in the 1800s, but rather commercial soaps and disinfectants. It can happen that a guest has a sensitive sense of smell, especially if they entered the room immediately after cleaning, but this does not warrant a demerit note.Another communication problem by the agencies is not having communicated that there is a tourist tax of 2 per person to be paid upon arrival.Our biggest issue with Expedia.com as hosts is not being able to communicate directly with the guest, because bookings are often mediated through intermediary agencies that are not Expedia. Therefore, even though we write all the information in the Expedia chat, we constantly have to worry and pray that these intermediary agencies will pass on the useful information to the guests.

The property was clean, safe, and a short distance from the train. You do need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the room and you are asked to pay a tourist tax, 2 euros/person/night (cash). The room is conveniently located to shopping and dining. The room is walkable distance to the cruise ships, approximately 2 miles.

Convenient location to train station and cruise ports. few negatives 1) unit was not easy to find (better instructions or map would help) 2) AC was not available the night we stayed due to condensation issues, which made sleeping uncomfortable. And the management, instead of letting us know and perhaps with an apology or compensation like offering us a different room, hid the remote so we can’t use the AC. This caused us time to look for the ac remote not knowing about the problem. And when we borrowed a remote from a tenant next door to turn on the AC was when we experienced the leaks and had to turned it off. 3) the area was rather noisy late into the night.

This place was perfect for us as a launch point for a cruise. It’s not what you might would expect in an upscale setting. It’s Italy. It’s old, it’s not fancy, there is some walking required to get transportation. You check in via a phone call. You don’t see anyone from the place till the next morning but we loved it. Plenty of Eating and shopping near by. It was a great taste of Italy to begin our cruise.

It was pretty difficult for us to find the property when we first got there as the restaurant it tells you to look for was closed and you couldn’t see the sign for the name of it. We weren’t able to use the breakfast vouchers provided because both restaurants ended up being closed the day we were there. Nice and close to port (we were able to walk to port and use the free shuttle in port to get to our cruise line).

Property was initially charming, but water pressure in shower was poor and bad drainage caused water to overflow onto the floor. One of the closets was used for storage of dirty sheets. Area around property was rather noisy into the wee hours of the night. On the plus side, close to the cruise port. And property building was well-secured.

This was a great stay walkable from the train station and to the port. Had to get into, you must have a working cell phone or you won't be able to get in. Room was nice, bed was ok, internet worked and there was true AC

This was close to the cruise terminal, although a bit of a walk once you entered the port proper. Good restaurants nearby.

Unhappy guest from the US.
Second floor twin bedroom in old dark building. No staff on site, Twin room was not as depicted in the offering. Awkward dimly lit bathroom which had no washcloths, shower soap and an awful shower. Very noisy outside at night. Calls to management went to a phone that would not accept messages. Day maid took the AC controller so AC would not work. It was an awful value, upset our trip. and we should be reimbursed.

Mattresses need to changed, sway backed, not very comfortable. No water in kitchen, had to use bath for drinking water. Few electric plugins, had to disconnect bed lights to charge phone. Older woman, grey hair, about 60 yo or so, glasses, very rude to me when I asked her to turn down her phone so we could sleep. I think she cursed me, not a very nice person. Would not stay here again.

There was no one at the hotel .the door was locked and no answer at the phone.I asked help at the restaurant next door.luckyly there was another client who had the same experience helped me in.l had to carry 2 suitcases 2 floors up ,no elavators,no one to help.

Ours is not a Hotel but a B&B (that is on the first floor and not on the second), so we do not have a reception and this is also specified in the details that are provided.
