"The best part of our stay was the food in the restaurant. It was exceptional. The worst part was the 38 steps up to our top floor room and the quarter mile walk to the car park. The bed was comfortable, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the shower was just OK, having only a rain head and no wand. The bar is great for what’s on the bar menu but lame for US cocktails. For instance, the bartender didn’t know what either a manhattan or Rob Roy was."

"Another lovely stay at this hotel. We had a lovely 1st floor room with a floor to ceiling view of the lake. Great choice for breakfast. We used the pool & spa, that was an extra £10 each. It was nice when it used to be included in your stay. Pool was a bit on the cold side. Only negative was the noise of people going to bed and chatting down the corridor all through the night, being woken up at 4am with that wasn't great."
