"This was a fantastic stay and the listing couldn't be more accurate. We stayed for 8 nights and it was our first holiday with our 5 month old baby.Kathie and Chris are great hosts. They really made us feel at home and went through everything with us when we arrived which put us at ease for the week and made us fully familiar with how to live comfortably during our stay.The views are stunning. The sunrises in particular were breathtaking given the apartment sits on an eastern facing hill. Kathie and Chris have done an incredible job with the design of the space as well.The pool - this was the standout for us. We were keen to still stay somewhere that enabled us to explore the west side of the island but the private pool was a huge plus point as we were keen to get our 5 month old into it and have the privacy and peace to do so at our own pace (without lots of kids splashing around or similar at hotel pools). Don't be put off by the pool being salt water - this isn't remotely as explicit as it sounds. It's a process of chlorinating the water and isn't remotely what you would guess a salt water pool would be like - do not let the naive understanding of salt water pools put you off - its better than a regular pool.Overall an unforgettable stay, which is lovely as we will cherish our first ever family holiday being somewhere as amazing as this.Do not hesitate if you are considering booking this apartment!! He was not intrusive and so helpful - he made our stay even better. We loved this property and the location and would definitely consider going back. Highly recommended."

"Wir waren als 5 köpfige Familie Anfang September in dieser wunderschönen Villa. Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit auf dem Anwesen. Alles ist vorhanden. Das Haus hat eine sehr schöne Ausstattung und es ist noch schöner, als auf den Bildern. Die Villa ist makellos sauber und wurde in unseren 12 Tagen Aufenthalt 2 mal komplett gereinigt. Der Eigentümer kümmert sich um den Garten und überrascht häufig mit frischen Obst, Gemüse oder Eiern. Absolut fantastisch war auch der Willkommenskorb mit vielen Leckerein und eine kleine Grundausstattung an Lebensmitteln im Kühlschrank! Die Betten sind super und die Lage der Villa einmalig. Wir möchten uns auch dafür bedanken, dass Sie 2 tolle Hochstühle für die Kinder besorgt haben und sogar noch ein Reisebettchen hingestellt haben. Wir hatten einen unvergesslich schönen Urlaub! "Really beautiful property in a nice quiet location. Nice tavernas in driving distance in local untouristy villages. Very nice sized pool. House was spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Great recommendations from host on what to do in the local area which we just followed for the week were there. Highly recommended. "

"We had an amazing stay at the villa and overall we can honestly say the best holidays on Crete island. We were looked after from the moment we booked the villa, the communication was flawless. The villa has good absolutely everything we needed to make us feel relaxed. The building itself is a masterpiece and tastefull. We relaxed by the pool and jacuzzi every day. The kitchen is very vell equipped. We also used BBQ.I would also mention that the house is in a traditional mountain village with its own tavern with breathtaking views and the nearest beach is not far either. We are really happy to choose this villa to be part of experiencing Crete. We loved every moment."

"We spent three lovely days at the villa up in the mountains. It was full of rustic charm and very peaceful (the only sounds in the evening were goats and birds!) The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! It was served on the balcony of our room. I’d highly recommend that you have it when you stay! The owner is also very helpful and communicative. I had several questions throughout the stay and always received timely and informative responses. "

"Loved this place. View was spectacular. Stavros was helpful & responsive. He met us at 4:30 am, gave us a map and tips on things to see, and provided some snacks. There are some steep hills to get up here, but we did it in a regular car. I’m an A/C girl through and through, but we didn’t need it - the stone house keeps cool and there are many windows for a nice breeze. The pool and patio and balconies are lovely and we spent most of our time there. And I loved the amazing large bathtub!! Be sure to check out the sunrise from the upstairs balcony. "
