The Cozy Cabin - Lake/Ocean/Trails/Hot Tub/Fireplace/Pet OK

10/10 Excellent

"Visit #3, another 10/10"

SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of October and wish it had been for longer. The views are exactly as advertised. Simply stunning. We saw seals swimming at the foot of the cliffs, and even had a brief orca sighting. The reclining chairs next to the floor-to-ceiling windows swivel 360 so you can spin around to the view any time. The kitchen is reasonable well equipped. I wish there had been binoculars available but I understand it may be a theft issue. There is even a huge window in the bedroom looking out to the ocean so you can enjoy the view from in there as well. We had a brief power outage, which is apparently common in the area, but there are instructions on how to manage it. Other commenters complain about the construction but honestly it didn't factor into our stay at all. Yes, it's kind of messy in places. But from your suite you will not see any of it. The hiking trails of East Sooke are a short walk away which is very convenient as well. Was surprised how long it took to get into the town of Sooke given you can see the town from the property, so I would recommend bringing groceries in with you because once you are there you will NOT want to leave."

10/10 Excellent

"This is a beautiful, quiet property out in very rural Metchosin. It is a great value, probably appropriate since it is a long way from Victoria. It worked for us because we were visiting the western communities rather than Victoria. We found it extremely clean. It was perfect for us."

Private & Tranquil! Hiking trails, Hot Tub and seasonal Outdoor Pool!

8/10 Good

"The home was beautiful and very spacious. We loved the space and that the house was well equipped enough to host a Thanksgiving dinner for our big family. The hot tub was nice and I can only imagine how beautiful this property is in the summer when the pool is open. The air hockey and pool were huge hits with my completive family. We did have an issue with access to the home, the driveway was not ideal.Other small issues with the property were conveyed to the owner and they were quick to respond. Would recommend for a beautiful family get away."

Architect Designed And Decorated Waterfront House, You Have The Whole House!

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful location & kitchen was well stocked, not only with pots & pans etc, but also quite a selection of condiments, spices, salad dressings etc very convenient, as we did not got out to eat during our week-long stay.Hosts were readily available & very pleasant to deal with. We were disappointed that the hot tub had just broken down, but Rodney worked for hours trying to fix it & just couldn't get it going. With it being the Thanksgiving weekend, impossible to get a service call until later in the week. But we enjoyed the house, the expansive deck & sitting in the muskpka chairs overlooking the bay. A delightful relaxing stay."

The Treehouse - Lake/Ocean/Trails/Hot Tub/Fire Pit/Pet OK

10/10 Excellent

"Amanda and Dave were great hosts and this guest space was very comfortable and welcoming. Clear communication throughout and we had a very happy stay in the very well-equipped suite. We cooked a full thanksgiving dinner with no trouble because the kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed our time in the hot tub and living space. We took some little excursions to nearby beaches and cafes and it was lovely to have so many options so close. I agree with those who have mentioned the beds are very soft - we loved this but it may not be for everyone, so worth knowing about. The setting is beautiful, and overall thanks so much for a lovely stay."

OCEANFRONT Luxurious Private Retreat on Stunning Sooke Basin!!

10/10 Excellent

"We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, but this one was truly something special. We chose this beautiful place as part of our anniversary trip, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the entire vacation. The property and surroundings are absolutely stunning, peaceful, and even more beautiful in person.Scott was easily one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, accommodating, and full of great knowledge about the area. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and wants them to have a memorable stay. This is one of those places you hate to leave. We were already talking about coming back before our stay was even over, and this will definitely be a return trip for us.If you’re considering booking this property, do it. Don’t pass up this hidden gem. It helped make our anniversary trip incredibly memorable, and we can’t recommend it enough!"
