Charming Cottage Stay

We had a lovely trip to Victoria and loved staying at Jamie’s charming cottage - perfectly located in a sweet town outside the city and equipped with everything we needed. I wish we had extended our stay to spend more time on the property - my toddler loved walking the little trails! Jamie was an excellent host - she was very responsive and thoughtful from booking throughout the entire stay.

Amazing spot!

We loved our time in Metchosin! The cabin space and grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Lots of wildlife! We saw a woodpecker, tons of humming birds and eagles/hawks(?) and even a frog visitor on the bbq. The area has tons of great walks and places to visit. We had an issue with check in (not the host’s issue, definitely ours lol) and it was very easily resolved with quick communication from the host.

Absolutely stunning location, comfortable, quiet, and idyllic.Pros include the fully-equipped kitchen which was great to cook in, the comfy bed, large TV, and beautiful grounds/patio/hot tub.One nitpick is that there is a home at the base of the hill the cabin is on, and because of the quantity of windows (some of which don't have curtains) you can feel observed at certain angles. But as complaints go that's pretty minor - I live with that every day in the city. We had a wonderful stay doing puzzles and watching deer through the windows. Strongly advise a stop at the My-Chosen Café and the Crazy Cookie House while you're in the area, and picking up some farm-fresh goodies from nearby farm stands. Metchosin is a special place, secluded and lovely while an easy drive from the city.Would eagerly stay again!
There's a bit of a hill up to the cabin, so be prepared to hoist a suitcase!

Business vacay

We had a wonderful time at this place! Very peaceful and quiet. Everything we needed was there and the house was stocked. There is a little barrel on the deck with water and fountain with some fish in it, that was super cool. There is also is a little aviary with a dove. He was puffing up, dancing in circles and singing, also super cool. The check in and out process was simple and easy. This place is perfect for a couple that wants a get away or just a weekend trip. We will definitely be back.

Cozy sanctuary for exploration

This is a spectacular rental with all the amenities anyone could want for a quiet vacation sanctuary. The rental is in a prime location on Vancouver Island, which we used to gain easy access to numerous hikes, swimming holes and beaches on the southwestern side of the Island. The location makes it easy to get to Victoria and or the various gardens but is removed enough that it’s peaceful and traffic is not an issue if you are not going into the city. The host responded quickly to the questions we had, and the rental was well stocked with what we needed to relax and prepare meals throughout our stay.
