We enjoyed staying at this property, although cleanliness could have been better. For example, we noticed the extra blanket given had stains all over it which was pretty gross as it was obvious that it had not been washed for some time. The location was great and it had everything we needed but thought attention to detail could be better. The rooftop was great too.
A very average downtown hotel. The bar was closed, the coffee shop not functioning, there is no on site parking. Air conditioning barely worked and corridors etc dowdy at best.

Comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast service food quality was below standard and staff at hotel was OK but nothing special. Elevators need updating and room climate management system was not user friendly. Roof top bar is great, but immediate area surrounding hotel still going thru much post earthquake redevelopment.

Pleasant stay. Felt the breakfast was not up to standard and would have preferred a more user friendly and reliable climate control system for the sleeping rooms. Elevators seemed a bit beat up.
I specifically contacted the property to ask if I can pay with cash on check in. I was told this would be ok (there is a surcharge for credit card payments) but when I arrived the hotel refused unless I had exact change. I had to go and find change at a nearby restaurant. There is a bar and restaurant in the same building and there are a lot of random people using the lifts at all hours. Not safe.
We have stayed at The Muse Christchurch, Art Hotel twice in the last 6 weeks. On both occasions we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
We like this hotel as its in a perfect location to be able to walk into town, our room was nice and clean and the premises was quiet at night.
Having a rooftop bar is a bonus!
A good position for shopping . However , after staying at this hotel twice before I kept hoping that the shabby appearance of the Hotel would have improved with my next visit. Sadly, no..

Hotel is fine and in a great area close to all the shops and dining options. Had an issue with our room air conditioning & was very hot in room, nothing really actioned until a fan was put in room on last night (shame as otherwise rest of stay was fine)
Nice rooms, and good location to the main shopping street. My only complaint was the breakfast was very basic, we only had it one day out of the three we stayed, and instead bought food elsewhere the other days.
Very small room with no space for bags and too cluttered with unnecessary furniture. Extremely noisy bathroom extractor fan that didn't turn off at all. Air con that was impossible to control. No onsite parking - even when advertised as a property with parking we had to park in an open parking lot two blocks away at a cost.
Boutique hotel which had more room than some boutique hotels we’ve been in. It was very clean and the concrete walls made it super quiet. It was fun to have the rooftop bar, fun staff there and great views. Excellent location to walk to the Riverside area for shops and food. Close to botanic gardens also. Continental breakfast was good. The front desk staff was not friendly nor informative.
The staff went above being great hosts. They let us in at 1:30am without complaining (due to a delayed flight.) They got a plumber in asap when our water flow was reduced in our room and are kind and respectful.

Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback!
Very enjoyable stay. Good location near Cashel St and bus interchange. Comfortable room, warm, fast wifi and nice beds with good decor. Only minor thing was low water pressure in shower. Very nice continental breakfast available.

Good day,Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for this wonderful feedback. We are pleased to read that you had a great time and loved all we had to offer and our location. We are sorry about the water pressure but will investigate to rectify. We look forward to welcoming you.Kind Regards
Wonderful hotel in centre of Christchurch. Cool art, spacious rooms, and even light breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
Comfy bed, pleasant views, and link to top floor bar.
Great location. Lovely room and bathroom that looks to have been recently refurbished. Great views. Manager and his team were friendly and helpful. Old carpet in public areas is about to be replaced too which will be nice.
Complimentary continental breakfast was simple but nice. Maybe a few extra options would be good. Even a microwave to heat the croissant perhaps. Only a minor thing as the positivs heavily outweigh the negatives.
