Realky well located, easy walking and on the tram route too. Lots of places to eat nearby. You have to visit Riverside! Had a fab Indonesian meal there. Staff helpful at hotel and good laundry service for 15 dollars a bag.

This is a hidden gem of a place! We stayed in the motel portion behind the B&B and they are very nice and quiet. Plenty of room, stocked amenities in the kitchenette, comfy bed, very hot water, a/c if you need it. Patio doors open to a secluded, sunny area to relax. Hard to find at first with a hidden driveway. We had to drive around the block twice and then just enough spots for the guests. Very walkable to city center. We'd stay here again!

Upper unit in the motel which is behind the B&B. Roomy, clean, nice balcony, well-appointed. We were given an early check-in which we really appreciated. Next door is construction site but it did not intrude on the quiet. Parking on site.

The place was stunning — extremely spacious and clean, easily walkable to everything we were planning to do. The host lacked empathy. We hit an impasse on check in when she had two records for us checking in and I only had one. In the end it was my fault, but as she kept repeating “it’s not my fault” at check in instead of helping me figure out what went wrong was extremely frustrating. Each of our experiences with her were met with a similar lack of empathy, including when she saw me hunting for my gasses and walked away saying “I didn’t know where they are.” I don’t expect to become friends with my host, but these interactions made me feel uncomfortable staying there. I loved the location and the room, again it was my fault, but her lack of caring is what I’ll remember about what us an otherwise wonderful place.

It was listed as having laundry, which is only if you stay longer, but that was likely a misunderstanding of mine from the listing. The TV did not include premium channels (Sky Sports) which was unfortunate as I wanted to watch Women’s World Cup matches taking place in New Zealand. I would have expected they were on channels a hotel would carry. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

Centrally located and friendly welcome. Room has good quality fittings and v clean and had a lovely patio with bifold doors which was lovely in the warm weather. Only v small niggle is lack of storage space for clothes if you have planned a longer stay. We would happily stay here again.

Friendly and accomodating staff. Quick and very easy check in and out. Big room and bathroom. Very central. Few minutes walk to Hagley park, botanical garden and riverside market. Free parking.

Very nice studio unit with full kitchen. Compact, but not tiny and uncomfortable. Good heater. Bathroom and kitchen doors mean noise from outside can be shut off, great curtains, all combine to provide a good sleep. 10 mins walk to city centre, but fairly quiet street. Parking a bit tight but v obliging staff sorted it out. Excellent value, would stay again.

The staff were the best . I was at a study day and they allowed me to keep my car there whilst I was at the study day, which was fantastic . Not only that, they put my cold foods which were in containers, in their fridge until the end of the day for me for which I was grateful. My only negative was the parking was at the front of the motel and the motels were at the back. It was raining and late and I had several bags. It wasnt a big negative and I am unsure how it could be any different . The positives certainly outweighed the one negative so thank You

The unit we stayed in was newly renovated and very clean. It had a small kitchen and on suite. The old homestead in the front is also lovely. The staff were very friendly and keen to help in any way. It was a quiet location close to the city centre, Hagley Park and the museum.

Great hotel near the central city & hospital
Great room and great location. Walkable to the hospital which we needed, the city centre and Hadley Park. Great breakfast available as well. Would love to stay again the next time we are in Christchurch.
