The apartment we had was extremely spacious and kept very clean. It was also lovely and quiet.

My husband and I had a one bedroom kitchenette that was more than spacious. The unit was updated and comfortable. Lena at reception owns the business with her husband and is extremely friendly and helpful. It is across the street from Hagley Park where a walk through the huge park will get you to the downtown area There are lots of restaurants nearby and a supermarket about a 15 min walk away. We stayed three nights and tried to get again when we returned to Christchurch but it was booked up. Laundry is $3NZ for washer and there are several clothes lines and pins to hang clothes in back. Highly recommend the Argyle on the Park. If you need a ride from the train station, airport or other location you might try J&L Shuttles. very reasonable.
