Lovely Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the old post office cottage. Location was remote but good for access to all villages by car. The welcome basket was a nice touch. We would stay again - thank you!

Gorgeous cottage

We had a lovely few days staying at the cottage. On arrival there was a lovely welcome hamper which was a really lovely touch. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The location of the cottage was ideal for visiting all the local attractions with nothing more than a 20 minute drive away. Communication with the owners was very good and any queries were answered promptly. I would definitely recommend a visit and we would definitely return again when visiting the Cotswolds. I would agree with other reviews about the hot water, in was extremely hot so if you are visiting with very young children beware, but on the plus side we were never without a lovely hot shower.

We had a lovely stay

We could not have asked for a more comfortable setting for our Cotswolds visit. The decor was perfect and the extras such as the basket of food items was a pleasant surprise. Some have mentioned the steep staircase yet we felt it quite fitting. The rope railing was of course a necessary addition. Should we return to the area, we would want to stay in The Old Post Office Cottage.

Cosy boutique-style cottage

We loved the modern decor, the warmth on arrival, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and Welcome Pack. Some small touches would help- a clean oven, vaccumed under mats and appliance instructions.

Short stay in a beautiful cottage in a quiet village

Great location, walks from the door through wild flower meadows to a nice country pub. Short drive to Stow. Clean, well equipped cottage tucked away in quiet village. Very relaxing stay. Thanks.

Lovely place for some peace and quiet

The cottage is lovely and in a peaceful location. Everything is as lovely as it looks in the pictures. We had a peaceful stay in a quiet location. The owners were very helpful during our stay as well. If you have mobility issues, the stairs and bath may be difficult for you.

September stay at the Old Post Office

We loved our September stay at The Old Post Office. A good base to be able to travel to some of the most beautiful parts of The Cotswolds. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed, it’s a shame there wasn’t a little pub nearby but it was set in a lovely little hamlet and was very quiet at night. We will definitely be back, but perhaps to a different location we’ve not yet explored!

The Old Post office, Church Westcote

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming little Cotswold Cottage. The decor is calming and the cottage was cosy, clean, warm and very comfortable. We were appreciative of the welcome hamper on arrival which included some tasty goodies. The village is quiet and there are some fabulous walks along nearby public footpaths with wonderful views over the Cotswolds. Regarding the cleanliness, the oven shelves and trays were not clean, and a kitchen cloth would have been useful for wiping down the surfaces. Other than that it was all perfect and we would definitely like to stay here again.

Lovely bolthole

Cute cottage with spacious rooms. Steep stairs as described in particulars but no problem if careful. Lovely welcome hamper which included a yummy cake, thank you. One point knocked for the comfort rating as the sofa seat cushions were not very comfortable but the two chairs were perfect. Very good location for visiting local area. Can recommend the Cotswold Wildlife Park as a great day out. Parking at the cottage no problem (although the builders working on next door had put their materials outside the garage that was given as a parking option) but plenty of space on the road. Will definitely visit again.

April getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was so peaceful that there was no sound of traffic, just bird song. It was well equipped. We cooked a few meals old school as there is not a microwave. The hob works very well. It's beautifully decorated and and a nice comfortable sofa. On arrival there was a lovely hamper.which made us feel very welcome. The location is great very close to some lovely places. If you are not a flexible person you may find the stairs a bit tricky as they have narrow steps and a rope banister. But other than that the place is wonderful.

Lovely cottage

I stayed here with my 2 teenage children. It is a lovely cottage, had everything we needed (more hangers needed for the wardrobe and no hair dryer though) A lovely hamper left for us. The cottage was immaculate. It’s in a quiet area but a good location for explaining other areas. We visited Diddly Squat, Sudeley castle, Lacock abbey, broadway, Bourton-on the water, Bath and Snowshill Manor.

Nice stay

Everything was perfect. The only thing I can Say.. We couldn’t clean after our meals in the kitchen because hoover is not present in the house. Also the towel were not in off for four ,without the washing machine was a bit annoying.. But we had a nice moment anyway. We will back with your agency very soon! Thanks, Rachele from Tuscany !

Exactly like the pictures

Small details like being worried about staining the counters and the towels. Beds that were a little on the harder side. And wishing there were more than one hand towel for 4 persons for a 4 days stay, dissappear in all the perfection of this place. The Old Post Office is a little gem. The cleanliness was immaculately ✨️ The quality of the bedlinen and towels was delightful and a lovely welcome package was the icing on the cake. We loved staying there, and would absolutely do it again in a heart beat.

A peaceful, late summer break in a quiet, rural hamlet at the epi-centre of the Cotswolds

We had a lovely time at the cottage. It had just about everything one needed for a peaceful, comfortable stay. The village is quiet and feels a million miles away from anywhere, but in reality is just 15 minutes from Stow and just about everywhere else one would want to visit in the Cotswolds. The cottage felt brand new; had been decked out tastefully (look at the photos). A microwave oven would have been handy, but not essential. A slip mat for the bath might be a consideration. BTW, the shower is the best shower we have ever had in a rental! It might also help protect the cottage's crockery if there was a 'protective mat' for the lovely Belfast sink (just a thought). The small garden could have done with a tidy and the grass cut as the weather was fantastic for early September. Communication between the owner , Stay Cotswolds and ourselves was fantastic.

4 Night Break

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see a lovely cottage. It was easy to find a parking was accessible. We had no problem accessing the key from the lock box. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the information folder helpful. On inspection of the property whilst unpacking, we did happen to notice lots of cobwebs so dusting could have been better. The location was great Tesco was only a 10 min drive and visiting other places were all very local. After the first night I did notice that there were a lot of feathered cushions and duvets (which I am allergic to) so would have been useful to know this in the spec before booking. The bedrooms were cosy and just want we needed however it was very hot at night so some fans would have been ideal. Bathroom was lovely. Bath was amazing however using the shower proved to be challenging at first but we did get the hang of it eventually. One thing I will mention for other guest staying is that, the water gets extremely hot. It may be useful to have a sign by the kitchen and bathroom sink saying Caution Hot water. The log burner was great and we did try it one night which was lovely. The outside area could have been more presentable. A shame the outside light didn't work around the wooden surround, that would of given it a extra touch. The plants were a little overgrown and lots of weeds so a little tidy up there would make this cottage even prettier. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely like to come back and experience it all in the winter months.

Property fit out needs perfectly (retired couple looking for a base for exploring the Cotswolds); quiet location with everything we needed. Two cautions: narrow winding stairs to upstairs bedroom could be challenging for some (but were fine even for an old couple like us) and parking in front could be a challenge if the folks working on the neighboring cottage are there (again, only an issue once and didn't really bother us ... just something to be aware of). Would happily stay here again in the future.

A wonderful weekend retreat.

An excellent place for a weekend away. Delightful cottage in a lovely village. Stairs could be a problem for the elderly.

Old post office church westcote

A lovely well located cottage. Four adults and a toddler plenty of room. Dishwasher so no washing up. The welcome pack was an unexpected bonus a lovely thought as no shop in the village. Stow on the wold 10 mins away. Plenty of walks from the village recommend a stroll about an hour and half , across to the King's Head in Bledington good food and beer. Altogether a lovely cottage.

The old Post Office is a most beautiful and charming Cotswolds cottage

The Old Post Office Church Westcote Cotswolds is absolutely exquisite and perfectly captures all the charms you’d expect when visiting such a beautiful part of England The interior is of very high quality decor with contemporary furniture and fittings and has been lovingly restored to the upmost degree whilst maintaining the feel of a typical stunning Cotswold cottage It sits in a gorgeous little hamlet but is only 2 miles from Daylesford organic farm and shop along side a Bamford beauty spa and shop It’s an easy and quick drive to some wonderful historic popular villages too such as Chipping Campden , Cirencester, medieval Village of Burford I’m already preparing for my next magical stay at The Old Post Office !
