We had a lovely stay at the Bakehouse. Location and facilities were just what we expected! Didn't need to move the car all weekend as everything was on our doorstep.
A well-appointed cottage with good facilities in a great location. The sofa felt a bit spongy and the beds were softer than we prefer, but overall comfortable. Clearer guidance on parking would have been helpful.

Wonderful place in the middle of the Cotswolds
We had a great stay at The Bakehouse - a home away from home. Fully stocked kitchen and dining room with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kids loved the garden area, and the location was perfect to explore Burford and beyond. Thank you so much!

Great property
Very good, spacious, accommodation in a quaint period property. Very smartly presented. Very clean. Really enjoyed our stay.
Even though the dishwasher didn’t work during the duration of our stay, we really enjoyed the property and the playground a short walk from the back yard. The location was perfect. All was good.

Great location
The Bakehouse is perfectly located on the hill of Burford. With three double rooms 6 adults were comfortably accomodated. A separate dinning room off the kitchen also allowed us to enjoy breakfast around a table with the separate lounge and fire a great retreat at the end of the day. This is a period property, so for those over 6 foot like myself there are a few beams and door ways to duck through including a narrow twisting staircase. However it does add to the charm.

Attending a wedding in Burford
The period home was lively and charming. The location is perfect.
I suggest a manual be included in the Bakehouse with information about regulating heat and operating appliances etc.contact information and suggestions for taxis and restaurants.
It would be very helpful to have had a landline for outgoing local calls.
Thank you.

The Bakehouse was a lovely centrally situated property
The Bake house was a very comfortable property that easily slept six adults. The beds were lovely. Bathrooms were spacious. We were there in winter and the heating kept us warm and toasty. The cottage was very well equipped, and the gift of fresh eggs was much appreciated! ( For those with mobility issues, There is a steep step into the dinning room and the staircase upstairs was also quite steep - also unloading our car in Friday evening traffic was challenging and a reminder that we should travel light- er! Although, departing on Monday morning we could easily pull outside the property to load up the car. )
Would highly recommend this property.

Lovely period property in convenient location
Well equipped, lovely period cottage, with attractive outdoor space. Great location for shops and cafes. Arriving on a chilly Autumn evening, we unfortunately needed help from the property manager to get heating to come on.... thank you. Remote controls were not connecting with the heating system and an upstairs wall control had been switched off, so display was blank. Minor oversights, I think, were no bath mat provided, and no tea towel in kitchen. Everything else was beautifully presented and very comfortable. The low doorways and beams were not a problem for us. A really enjoyable first visit and a privilege to stay in such a lovely property.
My family stayed here for my wedding in September. They couldn’t fault the property and had a lovely stay. Thank you.

Nice and practical cottage
We were happy with the accommodation and the location. It is pleasant and charming property with nice rooms. We had fresh bed linen and towels on weekly basis and able to reach the manager easily when required. It was a nice place to relax and everything worked well.
It is an old cottage so expect this to be part of the character such as low doorway ceilings which at 5’ 10” you have to bow down to get under the beam.
This is of course in keeping with the period cottage and expected.

Lovely Cottage
This is an immaculate cottage but we had no hot water Fri eve, Sat a.m. & Sun a.m. Five of us were trying to get ready for a wedding on Saturday morning. The property manager did come over on the Saturday morning & get the boiler running but there was only 45 mins for us all to shower, get ready & leave - far from ideal. No hot water again Sun morning.
The owner only offered us 10% of what we’d paid in compensation (as though we would pay several hundred pounds for a house without hot water!). Disappointing.
The property manager was kind enough to forward something left behind. Don’t book unless the boiler has been replaced/fully serviced. It’s a real shame as it was supposed to be a relaxing weekend.
