"My husband, knowing how much we both love the Cotswolds, booked this cottage as a last-minute surprise, to wrap up our trip to the UK, to celebrate my birthday. What an absolute delight to spend an evening at Sunnybank Cottage. I was smitten from the moment we walked in. Beautifully appointed, wonderful location, and an absolute highlight in a busy agenda. I so wish we would have had more time to linger. I spent about 10 minutes just gazing across the picturesque landscape. It was a perfect...

"Whilst the ManorHouse would sleep the number advertised, and certainly has enough crockery and cooking equipment to manage comfortably, we found the whole place to be cramped. Most bedrooms had one or more bed than was comfortable, there actually isn’t enough sofa space for everyone, and the dining table is difficult to use due to being so close to the wall, with no space to move it out. The kitchen, while well equipped, has very little work space and is not able to cope with more tham2 or 3...

A cozy restaurant with a fireplace, wooden furniture, and a stone wall.

The Harcourt Arms

Witney

8/10 Good

Overall a very comfortable nights accommodation. The facilities in the room were more than adequate and we particularly enjoyed the design and furnishings. Staff were very attentive, although I sensed were somewhat short staffed and rushed on occasion. The only slight drawback was the delay in serving meals, which were nonetheless delicious, and a reflection on the design and lack of separation between the eating and booking/bar areas. I would recommend the Harcourt Arms as an attractive and...

The Wychwood Inn

Shipton under Wychwood

10/10 Excellent

The property was well positioned. The Cotswolds are BUSY, so it was great to have somewhere to stay out of the busyness. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was a great size (room 2). No aircon which was an issue in the latest heatwave. The staff did try to help by putting a fan in the room. We used the restaurant for dinner and there was a wide selection of choices. This can also be said about breakfast.

Burford Lodge

Burford

10/10 Excellent

We spent four nights after a very long flight and driving for two hours from Heathrow. The host was welcoming and they helped us to the second floor with our heavy suitcases. Breakfast was hearty with good choices. Room was comfortable. The whole building including the room is old style, cosy and charming. Lots of steps to our top floor, so if one has issues with mobility, be awar. Building located just outside Burford old town, 10 min walk. It has parking in front of the building which was...
