It is a long trip in to central Mumbai (45-120 minutes) but the taxis are very cheap and Tuks even cheaper."

"Had a wonderful short stay at The President in Colaba. The hotel was beautiful and stylish, though slightly more dated than some of its peers (Taj, Trident, etc.). Had an upscale luxury feel to it, but with nice splashes or Indian culture and aesthetics. Room service was excellent. I was a bit disappointed with the surroundings— lots of construction so I didn’t the feel that I was hoping for, especially being so close to the sea and to the historic Colaba area. But that’s not the hotel’s fault....

"The staff at this hotel were superb, especially Mallika and Nabeel. Very helpful booking dinner reservations (Trishna is a must), as well as guides and drivers, airport transportation, etc. And, they accommodated us for a late breakfast even though they had finished serving. Our room was well appointed with a separate living room area and it overlooked the bay. Very comfortable. You must get a cocktail for happy hour at their outdoor bar - pretty views!
