"If you are traveling with a pet(s) and going through Englewood Florida, this is the place to spend the night. We had a double queen bed room and it was more spacious than a lot of mini-suite rooms, and updated as well as clean. With two nice restaurants within 50 yards and a Dunkin down the road for an early coffee, this is once again truly the place to spend the night. "

From the location, it's beautiful beaches, the resort amenities (under construction/rehab from recent hurricanes, but still), the property itself and the staff. All wonderful. Local shops and restaurants a quick bike ride, walk or drive away, simply phenomenal. Hidden gem... so hush. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Matlacha on Shoreview! Tucked away and wonderfully quiet, it felt like a true off-the-beaten-path retreat. The staff went above and beyond—so friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed the complimentary kayaks for exploring the water and really appreciated having laundry facilities available during our stay. A special highlight was the Memorial Day reception with delicious snacks and beverages—it was such a thoughtful touch that made the holiday feel extra special.
