We stayed here for an event. We were charged a deposit of €150 when we checked in which was not expected. Our room was the room beside reception and was very busy and loud. It took a very long time to check out as there was only one person on reception and everyone had to have their rooms checked before the deposit was returned. The breakfast wasn’t cooked fresh, we were very disappointed with it. The food looked and tasted like it was cooked and left under a heat lamp to keep it warm.

Lovely stay in beautiful modern hotel. Wonderful dinner with attentive waiting staff. Small gripe regards breakfast, they offer table service which is a nice touch. However, order took forever to come out.

My first choice in Cavan
Kilmore hotel is a really nice place to be, nice lobby nice bar and a very good menu. The room I had was spacious and very comfortable with good facilities. Very good value via Hotels.Com as well.

The Kilmore as usual lives up to its excellent reputation! I stayed over for my friends wedding and the hotel was simply brilliant, i would rate its wedding food as some of the best i have ever had! Staff were all extremely friendly!

The hotel is just outside Cavan and easy to find. The grounds are well maintained and there is parking, although the spaces are fairly tight. Reception was welcoming and our check-in was friendly and efficient. Our bedroom was a good size and nice and bright. All the amenities you would expect, including good size fluffy towels. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We had dinner in the bar, which has a reasonable menu. The food was tasty and hot, certainly very good portion sizes. We changed our table so we didn't have to watch the big screen tv. Breakfast is buffet apart from the hot food order. There was a good range of food available and the full Irish was very good. A couple of slight gripes, the toaster hardly warmed the bread and you are asked not to put it through again as it will burn! The mugs are only just big enough for the hot drinks despensed. We liked the decor throughout but it was a shame the display cases were dirty. The floor in the dining room got very mucky and there was a build-up of dirt around the skirting boards.
