Our street side first level room was appreciated for not requiring us to haul heavy luggage up steps. Convenience to historical sights, cafes and the fish market is a key reason to stay here. The owner was very communicative and willing to help if needed. Nightlife is noisy in Catania, but we slept well despite the noise. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator, comfy bed, AC, and nice shower. On a Sunday, we easily found an Uber to the airport with less than 25 minutes travel time. A gate plus deadbolt on the door made the room feel secure. Ample lighting and outlets.

This was a perfect location, less than a 5 minute walk to historical sites, restaurants, shopping, vending machines, the fish market, etc. Max gave helpful information about local sites and restaurants. On-street parking and a parking lot were both within walking distance. The building and room were older but the location more than made up for that.

This is a great location for exploring Catania. Steps from so many great Catania sites. Clean and tidy. Highly recommended. Our hosts were terrific and answered all our questions and helped with reservations. The only comment is the place is branded as a "B&B", but they no longer provide breakfast. They did offer a voucher (for a fee) for a nearby cafe.

A lovely place to stay. The owners, Max and Tiziana, were extremely helpful and informative. Max helped us book a tour to Etna which was great. He also arranged our taxi to and from the airport. Would definitely recommend!

This B&B may be considered by some as not visually appealing. But this opinion is soon replaced when one enjoys extreme cleanliness, the availability of the necessary products, and the exquisite attention from the host, Tiziana. Furthermore, the location is excellent.

Excellent location, you can see the Duomo from the balcony. Walking distance to all of Catania’s major attractions. The room is spacious and sparkling clean. The AC was a life saver in July. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

"Max" was great
We were the only guests the three nights so our breakfast was coupons at a nearby cafe. So, we never got to meet Tiziana but Massimiliano (Max) was great. Super welcoming, lots of hints, called to see if we needed anything middle of the first full day. Location is great.

We were told we would have a full breakfast SERVED from 8:30 -10:30 and earlier if requested but what we got the first two days were items left out on the desk in our room, instant coffee (in Italy!) and some cold items like yogurt in the refrigerator. the third day when another room checked in we were finally given a full breakfast in the dining room which was quite nice. However, when we asked about our full breakfast service the first two days we were told our in room set up was it. Obviously not true.

Neat BnB in the heart of Catania
Arrived at the BnB and was quickly checked into my room. Room was very tidy with additional pillows, blankets and mini fridge stocked with very reasonably priced drinks. Host provided great assistance for nearby restaurants which were excellent. Morning was very quiet which was excellent.

A good place to stay in the centre of Catania
Easy to find and local street parking although you might have to hunt for it. B+B in centre of everything and owners Max and his sister were great hosts. He speaks excellent English. Catania is well worth a visit. Breakfast in B+B excellent on the Saturday but on the Sunday we were given a voucher by the cleaner for a coffee and croissant at a local café. A disappointing surprise.

A great choice for exploring Catania
This B&B is only a few minutes walk away from a main bus station, and the entrance to Catania’s central square. One needs to advise the owner of arrival time and there is a door bell with speaker. The host lives nearby and arrives quickly. We had a comfortable front room - street noise was reduced by double French windows to a small balcony. The B&B is on the first floor of an old building and has a small reception area and breakfast room. Breakfast is very generous and is served at the guests’ chosen time by cheerful woman. Max, the owner, is a friendly and helpful person who provides tourist advice and will arrange airport transfers. We recommend this as a good choice for international visitors. The fish and fruit market is nearby and tourist sites are within walking distance. Buses to other towns and the airport are only minutes away, as is the main shopping street and restaurants.

Centrally located, just a few steps from Duomo and the famous Pescheria. We were allowed an early check in, Max was extremely helpful and gave us some tips on the local restaurants serving great arancini siciliani and granite. Good beakfast, clean and cozy room, highly recommended for a stay in Catania.

Well located, fabulous room
Very well located just off the duomo square and the walking/shopping street with many restaurants and trattorias around the area. Our room had a balcony overlooking the street with a view to the duomo but it was very quiet as there were double doors and shutters on the windows. The room and bathroom and B&B building has been beautifully renovated and attractively decorated, and everything was very clean and in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable with high quality linen and towels. There was a continental breakfast with good variety including fresh fruit set out on a terrace inside the building. The charming owner, Max, greeted us, helped us into the building and provided a map and directions to sights and recommended a trattoria for dinner. This was one of the best accommodations we stayed in in Sicily and far better than most of the 3 and 4 star hotels we had stayed in. Note there is one flight of stairs into tbe B&B. Highly recommended.

We only stayed one night, but it was a beautiful room in a lovely historic building, balcony overlooking the piazza, a delicious breakfast, and wonderful host and hostess. In walking distance of many attractions and restaurants.

Although the room was small, the location made up for this. The staff was friendly, hospitable, and helped in any way possible. Breakfast was much more than expected and the restaurants suggested were superb

We really enjoyed our stay at Al Duomo B&B. Our hosts made us most welcome and their recommendations for eating out, etc., were spot-on. The en-suite room was just what we wanted, with the balcony having a view of the Duomo square. With the best ever breakfast to see us on our way, what's not to like?!?!

Location is everything.
This B&B was a we gem. Great position for old town viewing and places to eat, take tours from and generally see Catania from. Staff were friendly and helpful with answers to all our questions that were practical.

Charming B&B, best location and host
We only stayed overnight in Catania, but this B&B was so charming and Catania was so impressive that we wished we had stayed longer. This was our favorite hotel in Sicily. Massimiliano, our host, came with us to return our car so we wouldn't get lost, then gave us a mini-tour of the city on the way back. We stayed in the room in the photo, a cheerful, yellow room with a very comfortable queen bed. This was also the only B&B we stayed in that had a mini-frig and a safe. The duomo was steps from our hotel and we spent a lovely afternoon walking the historic streets. Max also sent us to a charming restaurant in the neighborhood with great food, and arranged for an early morning van to the airport. He provided breakfast in our room since we were leaving at the crack of dawn. I'm sorry we didn't get to have breakfast on the charming terrace. We would absolutely go back to this hotel when we return to see more of Catania.

Al Duomo B&B - little gem in the center of Catania
The B&B is in fantastic location. Max and his sister are nice and very accommodating. Their restaurant recommendations were fantastic. The breakfast included lots of fresh fruit and other delectable treats. Shower was great and bed very comfortable. I would stay hear again in a heartbeat.
