Very handy to Wicklow and my 2 nephews that were traveling with my brother and I enjoyed the beach and the open grassy areas where they could kick around their new soccer ball. "We had a lovely stay at the cottage for 1 week in November. The same parking spot right outside the door of the cottage was always there for us. There was COMPLETE silence even though it is in the town centre. Local takeouts are closeby, within walking distance, also groceries, pharmacy ,cafes etc and by walking distance i mean within 5 mins, at a leisurely pace. Lismore is an extremely quiet town. Enjoyed the stay
"Room was comfy. Food was great. Location was handy. Only disappointment was the pool. Apparently, Ireland has a law that says you must wear a swimming cap to be able to swim. No notice of that before arrival. Wife hates the idea, and as a man without hair on my head, but plenty on my back and toes, I fail to see the point. Obviously caps were on sale, but we were so annoyed about this we didn't bother. Since this isnt a requirement anywhere else in the world that we have travelled, I can only say whoever came up with this rule is a muppet"
