"We really enjoyed our family trip to Michigan. The location was perfect right on the water with easy access to the pontoon we rented with the house. "Charming Amish home. It was unclear at booking if the bedrooms had queen or double beds, but they were double so it was extremely tight for a couple. The single bathroom was very tiny and there was zero counter space in the bathroom. There is no hair soap or hair dryer included which is fine if you know ahead of time and can bring your own. You are staying at a propery which has the owners living in the home that is adjacent so they monitor the home very closely. We got a note on the door...

"Beautiful cottage, very comfy beds, lots of sand for kids to play in…paddle boards, kayaks, and inflatables provided…LOVED the decor and the towels/linens were very cute! "The cottage is charmingly vintage but still quite comfortable. The hosts include thoughtful touches like spices, toiletries, fishing rods, laundry soap, etc., that aren't necessary certainly but that make for a welcoming stay. Donnell Lake is a quite busy little lake and wasn't our favorite for our quiet little paddleboards and sailboat, but we were also there over Labor Day, so it's probably not always quiet so busy. "My husband and I had a very relaxing time at this historical cabin. It was perfect for what we needed and we slept really good. There was an issue with the shower head and when letting them know, they were right on it and the issue was resolved. We will come back the next time we visit family.
