The home is situated on a quiet street, backing onto Tahoe National Forest, where you will find an endless network of trails. During the winter months, you can hit the trails and enjoy cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, while in the summer these same trails turn into perfect areas for hiking, mountain biking, or dirt biking. For those coming for a winter getaway, this home puts you near some of the best skiing in the area! The Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center is just a 7-minute drive away, and both Palisades Tahoe and Northstar Ski Resort can be reached within 25 minutes. In the summer months, take on the Tahoe Rim Trail, or, enjoy a beach day at Carnelian West Beach, just 10 minutes away. For those in your group looking for a little less outdoor time, Tahoe City is less than a 10-minute drive away, where you will find many cute boutique shops, a wide variety of bars and restaurants, farmers markets, and live music.
Getting Around: The home is miles away from the nearest public transportation stop on Tahoe's public transportation system, called TART. This stop is on the Mainline at HWY 28 and Old County RD, which runs every hour and stops along the entire western shore of Lake Tahoe from Tahoma to the north shore at Incline Village. You can also take advantage of the home's close driving proximity to Tahoe City and make the short 10-minute drive to the FREE park and ride, which reaches locations such as Olympic Park and Northstar California Resort. The home’s great location provides quick access to the main highway, allowing you to explore many beautiful surrounding areas within a short drive. In the winter, hit the ski slopes at Northstar Ski Resort or Palisades Tahoe Ski Resorts, both a 25-minute drive away, or make the 7-minute drive to the Tahoe City Nordic Center for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.
