The house was just as we expected, perfect for the 4 of us.It was clean and very comfortable. The outdoor areas were also very nice! The only drawback was the noise from Hwy 1.It did not bother us, as we're from a big city, but it might for others.Sanctuary was very good to deal with. Should we visit again, I would definitely use their service.
We had a great time in this house in Carmel. The house was clean, it looked like new, and we had everything we needed for our vacation.

Close to Safeway grocery for supplies and to downtown Carmel for high end shopping. House was beautiful and spacious. If staying with large family, only two bathrooms -one shared for the three bedrooms and one in master. Lots of outdoor space. Highly recommend.

Super clean, well furnished, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. The entire experience was five star. Rental company was very responsive.
Our group enjoyed our stay at the home. The house was very clean, comfortable, and a very short drive (my brother walked a lot) to the downtown restaurants and shopping. The noise, which some comments had provided, was not bad at all (it was mostly during commuting times). Living in a city, on a busy street, didn't bother us at all. We did have a couple of items which we hope the owners will be able to fix: 1) The main bathroom shower was painfully at a drizzle. Everyone after the first shower, would then go to the masterbath, 2) Light in bedrooms were bright, and would have liked bedside lamps. Two of us were readers, and I had to turn on the bathroom closet and bathroom light to try to read at night. 3) Limited outlets.Overall, I would it was a nice place to stay; parking was good, secure, and spacious.
The house is nice, newly renovated. Love the style and decor as well as the open layout. Very clean. The location is not ideal. It can be tricky getting in/out of the driveway and can be loud from traffic noise.
The home was absolutely beautiful. It’s directly on 101 so you cannot walk from house to Carmel. Also it’s very loud with all the traffic even with new windows. We had so much trouble getting into driveway coming in from Carmel due to traffic we usually went past house and turned around and waited in traffic. If bringing a dog there are holes in fence and fence is in bad shape. Also as others have mentioned house really needs more dishes. No bowls to mix a salad. Missing essentials most homes have. Last needs lamps in living room as lights are very bright.

The house is clean and worked well for us because of its location. Although the location can be a bit tricky since it is on the hwy. The driveway is very narrow- I wouldn’t take a big SUV down it. The house has the very basic amenities but nothing extra like measuring spoons, peeler, grater, measuring cups, mixing bowls, salad bowl or storage containers so if you plan on cooking or baking you should bring those things. Each bedroom had its own tv and 1 room had an attached bathroom so it was comfortable. It has a backyard for the dogs to run around but the fence has holes in it and we had to bring a gate to cover the places where the dogs were getting out.

The house was beautiful and served its purpose. Open concept, lots of privacy, updated bathrooms, lots of parking space, comfortable beds with nice down pillows, etc. Like most homes, this house does NOT have AC, even though there is a control pad for it.We were expecting the house to be more easily accessible from DT Carmel. Proximity-wise, it's very close (about 0.6 miles), HOWEVER, there are no sidewalks on Ocean Avenue from CA-1 (main street the house is on), making it unsafe to walk (single lane street). The location of this home was the main reason we booked it. Luckily we had rental cars so it wasn't an issue (but we would have preferred to walk, especially on busy days where parking was limited).Additionally, we had a hard time finding the lockbox. The instructions were misleading - there was a lockbox right next to the driveway (to the right of the front door as described), but that was the wrong lock box. I called customer service and the rep I got (female, didn't get a name), was EXTREMELY short and abrupt with me. Once I figured out where the correct lock box was (while on the phone), I gave her the feedback that the instructions were a little confusing. And while I personally don't feel that this is a big issue, I was more upset about her response - no "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or even "thank you for letting me know, we will update it" - no acknowledgement - just very short and rude with me.Regardless of the poor customer service, I would still recommend this home - but the above statements about the location are good to know!

The property has potential, but some improvements would greatly enhance the stay. Here are a few observations:Water Pressure: The water pressure was very poor. The shower in the master bedroom barely trickled, and using the sink in one bathroom impacted shower pressure in another. Running multiple appliances, like the dishwasher and washing machine, caused further drops in pressure. An upgrade to the home’s plumbing or water system would be beneficial.Kitchen Amenities: The kitchen was understocked for a rental of this size. Basic items such as cooking oil were missing, and there weren’t enough bowls or plates to host even a small dinner. It would also be helpful to add a food strainer. However, it was a nice touch to find a few coffee pods and coffee packets.Maintenance Issues: The remote for the garage door was unreliable, needing either battery replacement or reprogramming. Additionally, the door knob to the garage was loose and required tightening.Comfort: The beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and blankets. A luggage stand in each room would be a great addition, along with bedside lamps and charging stations.Essentials: There were no paper towels and only two dish towels upon arrival. For a property of this size, more basics should be stocked.Location and Accessibility: The property is located directly off Highway 1, which could be a concern for guests with pets or children. The gate should always be secured. The narrow driveway and garage required cautious driving and maneuvering, making it challenging to park and exit.Overall Impression: The home is beautifully decorated, more suited for staging than practical use as a rental. The owners might benefit from an overnight stay to assess the amenities from a guest’s perspective. While the property has charm, the lack of practical accommodations at this price point left us disappointed.I

The house is beautiful and there is a lot of room in the backyard. It is right on the highway so not a great property for getting out and walking. Everything is new and in great condition. It is perfect if you plan to eat out the entire stay. I agree with previous review. The kitchen did not have adequate utensils for cooking. We could not find utensils for grilling. It is new to the rental pool.
