Top Carlisle Hotel Reviews

Ox Hotel Carlisle
2/10 Terrible
"The place was falling apart the roof was leaking and the whole place smells, the rooms were basic but the beds were like sleeping on a lump of stone even immigrants would avoid this place like the plague."

County Hotel
4/10 Poor
"The hotel is situated on Botchergate, Carlisle central pub zone, and the noise/music from the pubs literally on the corner not even 50m from our room windows is horrendous. We had an adjoining door between our rooms, and listened to a bunch of lads from 1pm onwards talking all night! The attic room upstairs, could hear every footstep (paper thin walls) Then people drunk screaming in the alleyway! Bathroom was horrendous! (Something out the shiny water m134) With a bath shower setup (yeah, shower curtain) and couldn’t even have a bath!. Place smells, and carpets bare. It’s just rundown, and £116 for the nught. Let down tbh."

Crown and Mitre Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Pleasant experience overall. Staff was amazing and very helpful."

Langley Castle Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"One of the highlights of our Northumberland road trip, Langley Castle felt like such a treat, packed with character, history and atmosphere. We ate really well, and there’s something magical about waking up in the grounds of a centuries old castle; it made the whole stay feel genuinely memorable and special.
The only small downside for us was accessibility. My mother has limited mobility and found the stairs difficult, so we used the service lift to reach the drawing room. Even so, in a six hundred year old castle you can only expect so much, and the team were helpful when we needed a bit of extra support whicih made it even more fun. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it.
Thankyou!!

Pinegrove Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I would come back in a heartbeat. The staff were really great. I felt like they had my back—like they really wanted us to have a great time. I slept well, the breakfast was good, and I really like a vintage vibe and this boutique hotel gives that. It was a great stay. Not too far to walk to Aldi, the owners were personable and very helpful."

Arkale Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely place to stay. Great central location. Close to restaurants and pubs. Ideal for our little get away. Breakfast was brilliant."

Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed 18th April, four of us girls, and it was just the perfect place after a full day hiking.
The room was spacious, clean, and had nice little touches, biscuits, water, milk, which made a difference. Beds were really comfy, exactly what you need after a long walk.
The spa was spot on, swim, sauna, jacuzzi, just what we needed to relax.
Great value as all four of us could stay in one room, which made it more fun and easy.
Staff couldn’t do enough for us, really welcoming and helpful throughout.
Outside area was lovely too, perfect for sitting out and catching a bit of sun.
Would definitely stay again."
