Marvelous 3-bedroom second floor apartment in Carlisle with lots of history
Stay comfortably in Carlisle at this 3-bedroom apartment. The superb property features 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, AC, heating, and a cozy living room with a futon. With a bathroom equipped with a shower, guests can relax in this peaceful retreat. Enjoy all that Carlisle has to offer when you stay at our place. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance of our historic building. There are several shops within walking distance, also. You can enjoy our indoor courtyard. We have created this large open space for you and your travel companions to relax and visit. We have done many renovations to this historical building in downtown Carlisle. We have preserved much of the time period features that make our home away from home shine. We have enclosed around the once upon a time hand wheeled elevator. This is a treasure to see, but not a treasure to touch. This elevator is surrounded by half inch thick Lexan, so you can see the antiquity of the "ancient" cargo lift. If the walls and floors could talk: they could tell many tales of almost 200 hundred years. This building in downtown Carlisle, has been many things. For instance, the most recent was a hardware store since the 60's, up until 2018 when FeltLOOM® Inc. bought it. We raise sheep and sell wool. One of the stories we have been told, about the history of this beautifully, renovated, building, is of the many pounds of sheep wool that was brought here in the 1900's for trading. We like to think the old building has come full circle. We are looking forward to sharing the beauty and history of this Carlisle downtown treasure with you and your travel companions.
