The grounds are very well maintained and the ground around the pools never gets hot. The concierge was very helpful, booking us a snorkeling trip and providing other helpful information. The one downfall (no fault of Las Verandas) was the no-see-ums, so bring bug spray and use it!"

"I don't even know where to start other than book this place! We went at the start of rainy season so we didn't get much outside time but that was ok because it was the most relaxing time away ever. We did the whole tourist thing when we went to Roatan on a cruise but wanted to come back and experience more of the rustic island life. We were not disappointed. The Treehouse came fully stocked with everything you can imagine. It was clean and very well taken care of. We spent hours on the deck, laying in the hammocks, listening to the rain and ocean and watching nature. The Treehouse even comes with a resident kitty named Jack who was an amazing companion during the heavy rains - he does live with the groundkeeper, Jose. We walked to the nearby Anthony's Resort and did the dolphin encounter in the pouring rain but again, best time ever! Jose brought out a kayak for us and we were able to do that as well. We even had a monkey drop down onto the porch one morning to say hi. We are definately coming back and booking with Suzanne again and this time, bringing the whole family and booking the whole compound. Trust me, book this place and you will not be disappointed."
