Great visit with 3 generations
Our second visit, this is a great spot. Grandparents and grandkids alike love it. Note to owners: a little maintenance work on front showerhead and replacing burnt out light bulbs in several rooms would give great bang for the buck. All told, those are minor inconveniences and this place is magical. The walk to the beach and around town is unbeatably convenient. Great spots out of the town center are also a short walk like Gayle's and Sante Adarius. The corner market has surprisingly good selection of snacks, local beer, cough medicine, everything.

Family at the beach
This property is in a great location with a beautiful backyard. The beach is only 3 blocks away with shops and restaurants at the end of the block. We will be going back soon. The only drawback is that there is only one parking space so if you have more than one car you have to find parking nearby or park in the City’s daily parking about 1/4 mile away.

Another great week at the Rose Cottage
The layout of the house is perfect for me, my adult son and 2 grandchildren. We have stayed here before and hope to stay again next year. Location is excellent and close to “ beach family” we meet every year.

Family vacation
I loved everything!! It's a two minute walk to the beach and conveniently located to all the shops. a little dated and in need of a few appliances and kitchenware. The owners are great and so quick to respond. This is my second year in a row staying we'll probably be back again soon.

Beach Getaway!
This property has well equipped kitchen, lovely backyard and a nice gas barbque. It is located in a nice quiet (most of the time) neighborhood. The "Rose Cottage" made for a GREAT week at the beach!

Amazing character and joy for 3 generations!
Wow, it is so refreshing to have the privilege of sharing someone's well-appointed family home rather than an investment holding with IKEA chic commodities. We found everything we could need readily on hand, from ample towels and spare linens to a nice selection of dishware to even a folding wagon and sand shovels for the kids. The walk to the beach is as close as nearby resorts, and town is delightfully fun to stroll. I was surprised how quiet the street felt only half a block from the main drag - sleeping on the porch with open windows was peaceful and pleasant. BBQ was brand new and we got to meet the owners next door to thank them. In town for a wedding and a wonderful Father's day weekend, we got beach time, delightful strolls to a bakery (Gayle's) and a brewery Sainte Adarius), played card and board games with grandkids and grandparents together and enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the patio. The warm water outdoor shower was a special treat which made returning from ocean play so much smoother. We already booked to return! Thank you!

The best beach weekend!
The rose cottage was perfect for us in every way. First of all, it is just so charming and lovely! For being close to town, it was very quiet and we all slept really well. The beds are high quality, the kitchen was stocked with ALL of the necessary equipment which is hard to find in weekend rentals. Communication with Denise was easy and made our stay stress-free. Can’t wait to go back!

Charming & perfect location
We were a group of 3 couples that gather every Labor Day weekend with other college friends. This house was absolutely PERFECT! We even hosted a 60th bday celebration on the beautiful deck. The owners were very responsive and helpful! Location cannot be beat!

Great location
The location is great, close to restaurants, shops, and the beach. The backyard is beautiful and the house has retro charm. Showering in the antique bathtub is a little challenging though.

So So Charming
It was so wonderful to walk into a clean, fresh, charming place. The cottage was so adorable and met our needs perfectly. Both the indoor space and outdoor space we so pleasing to what we were looking for- relaxation. It was close enough to the beach and village yet a block away from all the business of an active weekend. We home to stay here again!!

Location, location, location!
This house is perfectly situated just a short walk from the village in Capitola. Such a perfect location. The house is small, but well appointed and had a nice deck out back that makes the space feel bigger. The only reason this didn't get five stars is that the bathrooms did not have bars of soap or shampoo and conditioner. We would definitely stay here again.

Very cute cottage close to everything
The cottage was the perfect location for exploring Capitola and the area. It was very quiet. The outdoor area is very nicely done although we couldn't enjoy it much as it was pretty cold(at least to those of us from Hawaii) after the sun went down- but it certainly added to the ambiance. I spoke to the owner over a plumbing issue(that was immediately fixed) and it was her grandmother's cottage- so obviously well loved and taken care . Recommended for a stay in Capitola!

Location is fantastic!
Adorable well equipped cottage located one block off the main downtown area. We parked our car and walked around the entire weekend. Very comfortable for 6 people included a small patio in the back which was fantastic.

Hubby and I had a wonderful stay at the Rose Cottage. I loved the location and the quaintness of the cottage. Super cute and clean. Great getaway to Capitola
Home was very nice and clean. We had 6 adults and everyone had plenty of room. The back deck was the perfect place for hanging out and even having meals. Great location-walking distance to all the shops and the beach. The owners are great and communicate very well and are very helpful. Can't wait to stay here again soon.

AMAZING!
This was a girlfriends trip of six ladies. We had a fantastic time at the Rose Cottage. Plenty of room for us all to relax and perfect location to walk anywhere in Capitola and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The six of us decided the Rose Cottage will be our yearly girlfriend destination. Thank you Rick and Denise for providing a beautiful, comfy place for us to call home for a few days!

Beautiful cottage
Wonderful cottage within walking distance of everything we needed. We spent a lot of time just hanging at "home". It's full of light, great furniture, inside and out! Hope to stay here again.

The Pink House
Three doors down to downtown Capitola, an easy walk to avoid having to find parking. Landscaping was beautiful around the house and the patio was awesome with a round patio table to sit around. The decoration inside the house is eclectic for sure. A little less furniture would make it feel bigger. It had all the necessities you needed. TV had Spectrum though it was a bit slow with 2G, but it had lots of channels and movie selections. The beds were comfortable but the couch needs replacing or the pads redone because you sink down quite a ways when you sit on it. The kitchen sink water smelled like sulfur for most of our stay. It did clear up for the most part by the end of our stay. The weather was absolutely perfect!

Sister Reunion at Rose Cottage
My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rose Cottage. It was the perfect place for us to have our reunion, comfortable beds, great patio, well-equipped kitchen, easy walking to restaurants and everywhere with beautiful weather. The cottage is comfortable and has everything we needed. The hosts are wonderful! We are grateful for our special time together in lovely Capitola.

Wow, what a darling home in a great location! We stayed for 1 week while friends rented other houses in the village and we bounced from home to home throughout our stay. From the the decor to the bed linens to all the extra amenities (beach chairs, beach towels, stocked kitchen, bbq and more) everything was just perfect and made it easy just to show up and start having fun! We hope to make this an annual tradition!

We had a great week in Capitola. The Rose Cottage had everything that we needed for our stay. Most places require guests to bring linens and towels. The Rose cottage was stocked with both of these. The back yard was so convenient for gathering with other family members visiting Capitola. Very cute, comfortable house.

Charming cottage near Capitola Beach and downtown shops!
This cottage was perfect for our girl's beach getaway! We loved everything from the location to the cozy decor. It sleeps 6 comfortably and having two bathrooms for all girls was a life saver! We cooked, played games and enjoyed the beautiful backyard which was filled with blooming roses. The shops and beach are steps away from the front door. The local shop owners are friendly and Capitola Beach is perfect for putting your toes in the sand and water. We decided we will make this an annual trip. We love "Rose Cottage" and can't wait to go back!

Great Family Friendly Cottage
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Stayed NYE with my husband, two boys and parents! Great space for 6 people!!!! Had the opportunity to grill outside, make breakfast (best waffle maker I have ever used). We visit Capitola a few times a year and will definitely stay here again! Capitola Village is only a few steps away!

Great cottage in ideal location
This is the perfect beach cottage in an awesome location in the center of the village. It has a great backyard space too which is hard to find in Capitola. Definitely will be back.
