"The owners, Glen and Kerry were very hospitable and friendly. They stay on the same property so they were very accessible anytime we had any questions. I loved that we could take our doggo with us. Lincoln loved being able to run around in the big yard and walking down to the lake with my husband and I. The house was very clean and perfect for our little weekend getaway. Also, the hot tub was divine for a relaxing evening after the days activities, and while the owners were on property we were afforded plenty of privacy. Overall we had a great first experience and would definitely go back to The Shady Rest."

"Our stay was everything we expected and more. We were hoping for a relaxing quiet weekend near the lake and that is what we got. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. The decor was very nice. The bed was so comfy and the reclining sofa was perfect for relaxing after a nice outing at the lake. The gas fire pit was perfect as we listened and watch the rain fall one evening. We Highly recommend."
