"It looks like there might be some updating in progress but our room was awful. The only storage/dresser was broken. The fireplace wall was chipped away with dangerous gaps. The wall paint was patchy and chipped. The floors were dirty and strained. The toliet seat wasn’t hooked properly. This room should not have been rented, especially at the price point. The deck area around the old restaurant was very dangerous and broken, it should be fenced off. "

"I really disliked that they charge you $10 a night for parking and you're not even in a city - why charge parking when you have a massive parking lot? Also, they said it was to pay for security to watch the lot. Yet the form that I had to put on my dashboard states the hotel is not responsible for the safety of the car. So which is it? Very frustrating for sure and the staff was not at all apologetic or seemed to care about this extra hidden charge. Breakfast at the restaurant across street was pretty bad- made the mistake of ordering a croissant egg sandwich but it was just a microwaved little frozen item. The coffee was undrinkable. The hotel room seemed partly new and partly old- the couch was very warn and rug pretty yucky, but the bathroom was nice? Confusing place. The pool area looked nice although I didn't use."

"Well appointed clean room with a lot of space was great. Staff at the bar/restaurant really helpful. Food and cocktails great. Great location for exploring Malibu and northern LA area, would definitely stay again. "

"Staff were very helpful Accommodation was clean within the main room, although funny smell when you turn on the tap, Bathroom wasn’t very clean especially within the shower with paint coming off the sides and dirt and mould along the edge's. "

"Refrigerator was unplugged....and the odor was toxic....I understand that's a common practice to keep it unplugged....and sometimes it doesn't work when plugged in"

"Call before you book online. Make sure someone picks up to accept/confirm your future reservation. They allowed me to book at 11pm online, nobody answered their phone, when i called next morning they said my 3day reservation was canceled, and i got charged for a whole days stay for 1 hour. Because their manager said they cancel at 12am cause I was a no show. Expedia nor the hotel gave me a refund. Take caution when booking last minute. "
