Top Buxton Hotel Reviews
Biggin Hall Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Property was lovely and clean. Lovely location and idyllic. Lovely gesture was a packed lunch for the following day and a complimentary beer in the room fridge. Perfect stay. Ideally could have had a fan in the room as the weather was extremely hot. 10 out of 10."
Palace Hotel & Spa Buxton
8/10 Good
"By far the staff team is the best thing about this hotel - friendly, helpful and attentive in just the right degree - advice: tip in cash - any tips added to a card bill do not get to the staff. Rooms: spacious, comfortable and spotless - a bit dated but hey, it's a classic building. Public areas: plush elegance - again a bit dated but comfortable and spacious although the position of the overly small bar causes problems getting to the restaurant at busy times. Restaurant: This was the big let down in terms of quality of food at dinner - both meals were overcooked and dried out - a pity because the restaurant is very well appointed and staff excellent. Breakfast was a little better but with tables too close to buffet (hot and cold), it was difficult to access and there are definite potential hazards. Parking: Additional charge of £5 per 24 hours is a bit if a scam (a lot of hotels seem to do this nowadays), especially having paid £326 for two rooms for one night B&B. Would stay again but would eat elsewhere."
Old Hall Hotel
8/10 Good
"Visiting Gilbert and Sullivan Festival at Opera House across the Square. Ideal location for this visit. On payment of parking permit fee able to park in front of hotel for 24 hours. This permit made the afternoon walk around Buxton and the morning shopping trip much easier. The location of the hotel is perfect for any visit to Buxton. The hotel appears tired in decor but the room was pleasing and well appointed. The bathroom up a small flight of stairs was extremely well planned and a delight to use. The bathroom contained both a shower and a free standing bath. We had a very comfortable nights sleep and felt much refreshed the next morning. The breakfast is self service buffet style and the trick is to arrive as the bacon etc is being replenished. All in all an satisfying overnight stay."

"We had a great stay in this barn conversion. It was the perfect location for our 2 teenage boys and our dog to relax and also discover bits of the Peak District. It's only about 12 mins drive Buxton too Great communication with Jo from start to finish."
