"This is an old style country house hotel. As such it will probably not be to everyone's personal taste (e.g.perhaps decor a bit dark) but we thought this hotel was excellent. Service, breakfast both super. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town and, importantly, has (free) car parking facilities. Would have no hesitation in staying here again."

"A great stay, staff extremely helpful and freindly. We arrived with a 6 week old baby and hotel did everything possible to accomodate us. Breakfast was great, in general very enjoyable. Evening meal was very enjoyable though a little on the expensive side tbh. Overall would highly reccommend."

"Had a fantastic stay at Brandlehow. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views over Derwentwater and direct access to the lake. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing family break. We especially loved spending time in the garden taking in the incredible scenery. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake District."
