"Great place to stay, especially for motorcycle travelers. Parking and rooms are very well suited for us on two wheels. We ate at a very good steakhouse across the street, then finished our night next door at the bowling alley with a friendly staff. Plus, a Safeway grocery store is a short walk. "

"Room was clean, fair price, convenient to Lassen NP Only downside was the town water supply had ecoli detected so there was a boil water order in effect the night I stayed, all restaurants were closed...had to buy frozen dinner at grocery store for din. This is no fault of the motel I would stay here again"

"Stayed 3 nights. Two retired men who fish near Burney this time of the year. The Bungalow was very clean and has everything you may want or need. The site makes you feel very secure and the enclosed small boat & trailer parking in the back yard area worked out perfect by not having to bring all your fishing gear into the house each night. You can’t beat the location for access and nearness to food shopping. Great, well supplied kitchen. Highly recommended by us and hope to stay there again."

"The property is located on 2 acre land with apple trees, a pond, game room and the beautiful terrace home. Deers wonder around the property all day long which was a lovely site for kids and adults equally. The house was cozy and comfy. Nicole had turned on the fire before our arrival that made our arrival and evening stay very comfortable. Nicole was very prompt in answering questions and providing support we needed. "We have made the Mountain House our HQ for annual fall fly fishing trips repeatedly. Why? The house is clean and comfy, with a laundry room that’s perfect for drying wet fishing gear, it’s conveniently located near some of the best fly fishing in California, McCloud has some great eating options, and the property manager is extremely flexible and responsive. We’ll be back!"
