We celebrated my 40th Birthday with friends and family and the house was perfect. Super comfortable beds and kitchen is well - equipped with absolutely everything you might need. Lovely host Sue was there on hand if we needed anything. Thank you for your hospitality

Lovely house
Lovely house that was perfect for a friends get together with kids. The kitchen is a great size and has everything you need, including a huge dining table. Hot and powerful showers. Loved the 2 lounges next to each other- meant we could have a kids and adult one. The property manager Sue was helpful and responsive to any queries we had. Thoroughly recommend.

Long weekend with family
Lovely weekend with family at Stonelands amazing house with a huge garden, great location.
Disappointed that the hot tub cost £200 to use and was only a lazy spa style hot tub which does not have seats therefore not that comfortable.
Also disappointed that considering the price of the house there was no welcome pack, I have stayed in less expensive holiday rentals where the welcome packs have been amazing.
However apart from the negatives we had an amazing family weekend.

Fabulous, stylish, comfortable home with a great garden
This is one of the best properties we've ever stayed in, across many years of self-catering. It's a characterful Cotswold house that has been updated with all the conveniences (modern kitchen, modern showers). Lots of space for an extended family, with 5 beds and two living rooms. Great garden, with croquet and a hot tub. Easy driving distance of Blenheim, Oxford, Chedworth roman villa, Westonbirt Arboretum, and various Cotswold towns. Walking distance to beautiful Burford. Very much recommended.

Beautifully appointed cottage in a peaceful location
A group of 8 ladies stayed at the cottage at the end of February and we were all very impressed by the standard of the cottage which felt very much like a well appointed and immaculately clean home and not at all like a typical holiday let. The kitchen was very well stocked with good quality, clean appliances and equipment. The cottage is beautiful with an eclectic selection of art, displayed with care by someone who clearly has creative flare whilst retaining a homely feel. Downstairs was spacious such that we never felt on top of one another and could all come together in the main living room or break off into the snug and lovely kitchen. I would love to see the garden in the summer as it was glorious even in February.
One small negative is that it is surprising that the twin beds which are configured as doubles can't be separated on advance request.

A Wonderful Stay
The house was gorgeous, with lovely interiors, super comfortable, spacious for 10, a large kitchen/diner that was spotless (yes, even the ovens), with double ovens, double fridges, double washing machines, enough for a large group and was amazingly well equipped (with a whole set of garden use crockery/glasses!). All this is in a completely idyllic country setting. Not sure if there is a cross country walk into nearby Burford, but there is plenty of parking available there. Burford is a chocolate box pretty town, with plentiful options to eat/drink/shop and has a lot of history as well and not to be missed.
The property manager was readily available to help and very friendly, pleasant, and accommodating... I'd say went above and beyond to help (even DPD forwarded my left baggage to me!).
Stay Cotswold, the rental agency, were equally impressive. Very quick to respond to queries, highly efficient and professional, very pleasant and friendly to deal with, thoroughly knowledgeable about the area and I think genuinely want guests to have a perfect time... which we did!

Beautiful and comfortable house with lovely gardens and all conveniences of a high quality.
The house and gardens are lovely and the house is comfortable and well equipped with good quality appliances, crockery and cutlery, bedding and towels. The owner Sue lives in the annex and was super helpful with the few small queries we had. There is also ample parking which is usefully for larger groups.

Lovely stay
We stayed for a 4 night break over the festive period. The cottage was so lovely and clean. Amazingly well equipped and so spacious. The location was perfect and within reach of Burford and Burton on Water. All the kids enjoyed their stay very much and of course the hot tub! However the adults found it a little bit cold and didn't like the fact it had no seats. Maybe a suggestion to upgrade to a bigger and more fixed hot tub in the future would be a nice addition. Apart from that, we have no other negative feedback. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family and hope to visit again in the future!

Christmas in the Cotswolds
Three generations of our family stayed at Stonelands for Christmas 2025. We had a lovely time - the house was nicely decorated for the holidays, it had plenty of space for us to have meals together (we were a group of 11), play games, do puzzles, cook together, and also space to spread out for private time. The house is very close to the village of Burford and Burford Garden Company which is lovely. We were hoping to be able to walk to town, but there are no paths or quiet roads to do so, so a car is a must if staying here. The property manager was super helpful when we turned the heat too low by mistake. I would highly recommend this holiday home!

Excellent Stay with at the Stonelands
StayCotswolds and Sue were wonderfully accommodating and provided great recommendations for a Sunday Roast for our group. The house is remarkably well equipped with dishware and kitchen needs, but also umbrellas and towels and full bookcase to peruse. They were even generous enough to bring a spare pair of sheets upon arrival to split one more of the beds into twin sets, which was greatly appreciated! We had an excellent stay and truly appreciated the hospitality.

I found out a really bad thing about this property
The stay at Stonelands, was fine, until one day we were having morning coffee in the lounge, and the owner’s of the property were actually stood right outside our window. The property is very overlooked, by the owners, I might add, If you opt for the jacuzzi, bear in mind the owners, actually use the garden as and when they feel fit, including to walk their German Shepherd dog, so you will have no privacy at all. Also bear in mind, the owner’s choose to grow poisonous plants in the garden, so if you have children, this is something to give serious thought too. I also found out that this house was once resident to a baby murderer, and the garden is where she buried these babies. I would never go back to this property. The owner’s are disturbing and unfriendly, and the house has a very upsetting past.
